Jay, I know that you probably feel that you are just a little bit misunderstood with your sense of humor here but that remark was taking it just a bit too far. Most but not all of us are adults here. We tease and joke around but I think that last comment was a tad too blatant. I know from your posting history that you probably won't apologize even if you do feel bad so I will do it for you. Marciahan, on behalf of Jay-London and all the other guys on the forum, I apologize for that rude, crude, insensitive remark. It was uncalled for and I think even Jay_London probably knows it.

steve, you should punish jaylondon by taking away his votes for best sense of humor and giving it to someone more deserving -- someone short and bald and......no, not dr. ruth! me!

Don't be so presumptuous as to apologise on my behalf, I really don't need some half wit to speak for me. If marcia is upset or offended she can post me direct, however I think she has a sense of humour, which you don't.

Get a life and whilst you are waiting for it to arrive order yourself a sense of humour.:p

Oh god, It was all going so well too. Come on people lets just enjoy ourselves. We are all here for the same reason, lets keep it like that. Sure some people see things differently to others but there really is no need for us to be falling out.

I thought we were enjoying ourselves, I am enjoying myself, according to marcia in the c/r she is enjoying herself so it only seems the straight laced pompous Mr.Prom has a problem.:D

I do not perceive MrPromey as pompous or strait laced. He interpreted your remark as a personal attack on a generally well behaved middle aged lady, and responded in my defense. I appreciate his gallantry.

When I spoke to you in private, I did say that the remark didn't "offend" me. I'm not sure that I said I found it humorous.

I believe I said it was pushing the envelope of good taste, and you might want to watch it in the future. ;)

I am glad to see you are generally well behaved;)

As to my comment that Mr.P is pompous and straight laced it is a personal feeling that I stand by. I reiterate my previous comment I do not need Mr.P to apologise on my behalf, I asked you if I had offended you and would have readily apologised if I had. I find it personaly insulting that he presumes that I would do anything to the contrary.

I think if boundaries are not pushed life would be very dull indeed.

As I also said in private, you are incorrigible, and likely to keep on pushing the boundaries. I just hope you don't go too far! I enjoy our verbal sparring, and would hate to lose you, but it's a possibility if you don't behave. ;)

Please play nice(ly)??!!!

For the record, Jay, I felt your post went too far given that there are young people around....just stick to the double entendre and innuendo and it'll be fine.

Your post would have been easy to interpret as a personal attack, and it's clear you are engaging in one on MrPromey. That's not what the forums are for...

You made your post to Marcia in the forums, not in a private message, which means that you have invited the rest of us to make comment and get involved. If you're going to be that blatant in your humor and you don't want anyone else to say anything, PM her next time.

Is that a threat?

I have noted many people push the boundaries they are still here, if you are refering to Mr.Lightbeer, well as I understand it he didn't push the boundaries he just fired a sub machine gun at the guy who has his finger on the switch.

Humour is humour I don't like everybodies sense of humour but I repsect the fact that something I find crude, rude or just unfunny will cause the person next to me to have a fit of laughter.

I too enjoy the verbal sparring but I don't enjoy people attempting to gag me becaus eI don't fit in meatly with their idea of what is right and wrong.

Thats fine but if you want to comment on me expect a reply, and I exercise my right to reply to Mr.P as I see fit, if he takes it upon himself to answer in my name.

Jay, I would never threaten you!!! It was a warning, which is very different. If I didn't like you, I wouldn't be bothered to say anything, and would just let you go on your merry way. If you consider this an attempt to "gag" you, so be it.

I'm getting too old for this.

Since you haven't posted an apology to Steve or anyone who may have read your post and was offended that you made such blatant ***ual remarks, I think MrPromey may have been right.

Your comment sounds like a threat, that anyone who attacks your ideas is subject to a personal attack.

Rather than posting a reply to Steve at least acknowledging his comment, you get defensive. Marcia was merely warning you, and she, who publicly supported you on this as far as it not being an attack, was accused of threatening you.

This is my last comment on the subject, Jay. Feel free to post about me as you like here. I won't be sucked into the back and forth with you.
