Your comment sounds like a threat, that anyone who attacks your ideas is subject to a personal attack.

Rather than posting a reply to Steve at least acknowledging his comment, you get defensive. Marcia was merely warning you, and she, who publicly supported you on this as far as it not being an attack, was accused of threatening you.

This is my last comment on the subject, Jay. Feel free to post about me as you like here. I won't be sucked into the back and forth with you.

Thank God that is your final word on the subject you were begining to bore me. If Steve wanted to delete the message that is his choice it is his board and I stand by his choice.

Jay, I just want to respond to a few things have been said in the thread over the last day or so.

1. You have to remember this is a *family* orientated site/forum. Its primary role is WDW. I know you guys enjoy the chit Chat board, and thats perfectly fine by my (or else I wouldnt have this board). However, due to the type of forum it is, you have to fit in with general idea of what is right or wrong. If you cant or wont, you really should find another forum where your type of humor and boundry pushing is the focus of the forums. And believe me - there are plenty of those around.

Dont interpret this as me attempting to get rid of you or telling you to leave - this is not the case.

2. I detect you still feel bitter about me removing Lightbeer. I have said this a hundred times already - but just to underline it... He did push the boundries, repeatedly. It was not jsut his attacks on me - but more like his attacks on everyone else outside the ChitChat board.

3. The people that mailed me about your post were well within their rights to do so. And are not pompous and straight laced. They rightly considered the post to be unsuitable.

Quite frankly I am not bitter that you terminated lightbeer I just miss his humour around the boards and I have said this to you several times.

I feel that Mr.P and Ducky do not like my humour and are straight laced and pompous that is my feeling and I reserve the right to defend my views. So long as I didn't offend Marcia, who I was sparring with, that was my only concern. It was quite obviously not a personal attack on her an apology was offered and declined as I didn't offend her. I didn't use offensive language neither was I abusive to any race. It is unfortunate that some people cannot respect the fact that just because one persons idea of fun doesn't fit in with their idea of fun that person should be outcast. We then begin to slide from a democracy to a dictatorship. It seems to me that the US, UK and Europe is slowly sinking this way under the guise of 'political correctness'.

Jay_London, I'm sure in your own mind, you feel like you are a very funny guy. You probably also think that you are the master of your own little universe, too but that's not the issue here. You seem to forget that this board is not here for the sole purpose of you pushing your childish and immature humor on the rest of us. I was not trying to get you in trouble with Steve when I commented on your post (the one that was removed) I also did not email him about it so I obviously wasn't the only one that thought you went over the line. I also did not censor you because, aside from trying to remind everyone that all guys aren't arrogant and insulting, (my own free speach) I didn't do anything to you. I did not take your post down... I have read many of your posts on here, almost all of which I have considered worthless but I have kept my opinion to myself because you have every bit as much a right to be here as I do and I'm sure you could say plenty about my posts as well. I have a sense of humor but my idea of humor doesn’t come from insulting and belittling other people. You can go right ahead and say I'm an idiot (or any other choice words) because I don't see the sophistic humor in cruelly attacking others. I'm sorry that people treat you so poorly in the real world that you think you need to come on the internet and try to cut down others. Jay_London I FEEL SORRY FOR YOU. I really do. :)

Feel free to blast me anyway you like. I'm simply going to ignore all of your posts from this point forward. I don't need to defend my views of you anymore than you need to defend your views of me…Although, judging from the attention you have given my one and only post in response to you, you seemed to think you do need to defend yourself. Like I said, I feel sorry for you. If attacking others makes you happy, feel free to continue saying whatever you like to me. Maybe it will prevent someone else who doesn’t know better from really being hurt by you.

Go ahead and waste your time making yourself look like even more of an a$$ by trying to attack me. I'm sure it will go a long ways towards making everyone else on the board hate me, too. ;)

I especially liked that comment on the "Free Speech" issue. It is because of people exactly like you, that it is now in jeopardy - you know, the hypocrites that think only they are entitled to it.

My apologies. I did also respond to your queen thread. I actually found great humor in your initial statement on that one. That's why I responded to it.

Thank you for your reply however just because you don't see or understand my humour doesn't mean that you have the right to have me silenced as you would like, it is my free speach that you wanted silenced. I have not insulted Marcia by my joke and I think you have blown it out of all proportion. Free speach is in jeopardy because narrow minded people want anybody with different views, religions, humour etc silenced if it doesn't fall in line with their views or tastes, as in this case. By all means disagree with my hunour or my views but never apologise on my behalf cos I have nothing to apologise for in this case.

Don't feel sorry for me because nobody treats me poorly in the real world. In fact quite the contrary. As for my posts like many others on here it is some fun and release from the normal day to day chores of life, they are not meant to be intellectualy stimulating just some fun.

I think we have to agree to disagree here, I repsect the fact that you don't like my humour and I expect you to respect that i have a different sense of humour to you.

Guys...I think I have to agree with Mark here. We are all here for the same reason...just to enjoy ourselves. Don't let any of this go too far or spoil your enjoyment of the forums. That would be a shame. Everyone is different...and it's not a perfect world. Just respect each others views and if you don't agree then just move on. It isn't worth it to get all worked up over it. Just have fun :)

Jay_London and I have spoken privately in regards to this issue and I think we have more or less resolved it. Although I don't exactly agree with his original post and do still think it would have been better to be sent as a PM, I respect his rights to post as he chooses under the guidelines that Steve provides. Not knowing his working relationship with the party that the remarks were made to also lead me to believe that he was making a personal attack which I now know not to be the case. I apologized to him privately in regards to my last message and I would also like to do so publicly. Jay_London, it is apparent that I have misjudged your humor as serious intent. Please accept my apology for that.

Mr.P Thank you for you reply, I think it was worth the cross fire in order that now both understand each others points of view and have avoided any growing bad feelings towards each other.

I will look forward to reading more of your lame posts lol:D

Regards

jay

Is that it then?!? Are we all friends again now? I hope so, coz despite the fact, as Ariel says, everyone is different, we all come here for a bit of escapism and as a reminder how great wdw is. I am glad you guys have sorted things out.

I hope, however, that all of you realise that this came about as a distraction from the fact the Jay wears ladies underwear! ;)
