Ratatouille Roller Coaster

Now I loved Ratatouille, but I don't see how they are going to base a rollercoaster off of the movie. As I have said before the action scenes are very far apart and each one has a different and usually elaborate reason behind them. It would probably have to be a new adventure in order to make sense, but it would be nice to have some new original attractions at the parks everything except for Epcot's latest refurbs has been pixar movie based.

I agree, I don't know how on earth they're going to make a roller coaster out of this. The Nemo roller coaster kind of makes sense because of the EAC and all of that, but this... what???? What do rollercoasters and cooking have in common? Besides that, I am tired of Pixar rides!!! No more please!

It'd make more sense to do a dark ride out of it rather than a rollercoaster, imo. I guess a coaster going through a kitchen could work ... lol. I dunno. Is this how it's gonna be? Every movie that comes out just MUST have an attraction somewhere? Sheesh ... there's also many classics that still deserve a real attraction (Mary Poppins, Jungle Book, etc.)

There are also so many ideas out there that don't revolve around Disney features (ie. Expedition: Everest). I'd like to see them focus more on those for the next few years.

I loved Ratatouille. Several of my friends and I saw it and all agreed that it was the best Disney film to come out in quite some time. A thrill ride involving riding through the sewers or escaping the kitchen has the potential to be a lot of fun, though either might be a bit difficult to fit into the theming of the park around it (are we being shrunk to the size of rats?)

Regardless, I'm all for heavily-themed thrill rides that take you to new places, and Ratatouille seems to me like a good source for something like that. The Incredibles also. :)

It does occur to me, though, that a sewer trip would be much more effective as a water ride...

Yeah, it makes about as much sense as making a musical stage show based on Finding Nemo, a movie with no musical numbers in it.

Oh wait...

If they can pull that off, I'm sure they could figure out something for a Ratatouille coaster. Still, I'd rather see another original thing like Expedition Everest.

I haven't actually bothered to see the Nemo musical. I have no desire to see it so I don't know if its any good or not.

I think to make Ratatoullie a ride they should make it like a Peter Pan or Winnie the Pooh. A slow moving ride through the different scenes of the movie. They can even add a little french restaurant at the end. Just not a rollercoaster.

I agree, MGM could use a classic style dark ride, its something they dont have. Ratatouille would be great for that instead of just a coaster.

Actually, what I'd think would be cool would be to have a Ratatouille restaurant. It could be modeled after the restuaraunt in the film and serve many gormet dishes ( and maybe Remy character meet n' greets ). I'd take that ( a dark ride would be good too ) over a roller coaster any day.

As long as Mama Melroses' isn't lost in the translation, I could put up with another Pixar attraction [only if it was] at MGM Studios. The park still needs some fillers, so anything is good as long as the better aspects of the park aren't lost.

Regardless of the theme, which IMHO doesn't really matter, is Sound Stage 1 large enough to fit in a Crush style coaster?

Nope. It would have to be expanded to fit a coaster of that type. Not much, but it would take at least as much retrofitting as Midway Mania is requiring.

then it should go to France at Epcot
