Quick update on SSE and MK

SSE now has its fast pass signage up and while riding there is something going on in the descent as there is some strange rock like structure they have added on the right. It's just as strange as the triangles.

Over at MK the backstage access to mermaid is completed fully. And tritons gift shop still has a decent amount of interior work to be done. I was able to peek through the wall and could see it was still white drywall in a portion of the shop.

There been rock work to the right since 1994, as part of the aborted lights spinning on rods effect. Under the girl in the window, the track turns to the left and its on the right?

Yes, this was a section that previously had a black curtain up, though. It is just before and connected to the rock "arch" that was lit back up/revealed not too long ago that I had asked about. Are most of the scenes and equipment still there behind the black curtains?

There's always been since 94 a rock arch under the window girl as you leave the core:

I believe so, though I'm having a hard time getting the image to line up with the mental image in my head in terms of the ride. Maybe I'll take a late spin in the next few days and light up the area to compare and get a picture. The rock work that is being referred to isn't the arch itself, but a section of rock work just before it, and it appears to be rather large and close to the track, much more than what is shown in the first picture you posted.

There is more lighting on the descent than when it originally opened after the infamous Siemens refurb. The rockwork in Martin's first picture above is noticeable now (are we sure it wasn't covered up with a curtain before?). Overall not a huge improvement, but there is more to look at than just the triangles.

the rockwork has been there and was not covered up, its just they have it glowing a little more than when the 07 reburb completed, but still nothing new to see here. I hope they clean the dust off the grimy potlights and rails and fix the curtains, no different than riding through a vacuum tube, which at this point might actually be more fun lol.
