Queue Lines Too Fast For Ya?

The original post here was that the lines move too fast. The was an absurd post. If the original post was how much he enjoys the queues, that would have been different. But how someone can complain about a fast moving line is beyond me. So many people have just a few days to get to everything so fast lines are a blessing. The queues are definitley a big part of a lot of Disney's attractions. They are so much fun to look at. My son filmed us walking around the parks and all you see is everyone's head looking back and forth at everything, taking it all in. Yes, I agree with him about that but to say the lines are too fast???? Come on, there is no such an animal!!!!! You read all these posts about complains about the park.......I personally, have none. I just love to go and when we get back and we're home for a couple of weeks, we all want to turn around and go back. We all need Disney fixes here so to me if it's that good a place, why would anyone complain??? This one just topped the cake!!!!

If the ride itself is all he cares about, then so be it, but he shouldn't give the impression that others are wierd and stupid for wanting to take their time and take in the ENTIRE attraction.

Didn't even pay attention to the hammer to head icon. I see your point now.

First of all...I believe everyone has a right to post their own thoughts and opinions. To say mine was absurd was uncalled for.

Secondly..if you read my original post, while it does seem like I'm complaining about lines being too short and fast, if you continue to read, it says. "I get frustrated when I have to practically RUN through these exhibits because I have people behind me giving me dirty looks because I'm not moving fast enough. anyone have any similair experiances?"

My post wasn't really about short lines...of course I like short lines. What I DON'T like is rude people who run through the lines pushing and shoving and making rude remarks to those who are enjoying the sites and sounds in the queue lines. My wife has been knocked over by people trying to get around her and I have had drinks dumped on me in queue lines because of rude people, in a hurry, trying to get one more step ahead of the others. I say...RELAX PEOPLE...enjoy it ALL...that ride isn't going anywhere...you'll get your turn. :animwink:

After all these posts I finally got you... I had a similar experience in Space Mountain last time. It had been a while since I had last been to Magic Kingdom, so when I entered the building I was going slow to take in the Space station "Atmosphere" when several kids and two adults started shoving around me and pushing me out of the way after standind a few seconds behind me and prancing around like I was blocking their means to the bathroom and they really had to go. OK, I get you now... I think. Are you partly talking about rude and insensitive guests who don't take the time of day for anything or anyone and can't even wait a few lousy seconds for you to take your time getting to the end of the line ahead?

No matter where you are or what you're doing, life is still life. If you can't enjoy the little things that make up each moment, you'll spend your life rushing to get on a two-minute ride and pi$$ed at the world for getting in your way.

I suspect everyone's preferences for ride queues are their preferences for life in general. I also see that people who are content to take what comes and make the best of it are the happiest people. You can't change the world to suit yourself so you might as well enjoy the queue, because most of life is one big long queue -- not nearly as nice as the queues at DW.

When lines are short and I try to linger and enjoy the creativity spent on the queues my kids look at me like I'm crazy. "What are you doing?"

"Just looking at the ... Oh never mind. Let's go ride the ride."

While I hate long lines I am definately a queue person. That's part of the fun of POTC and HM. Not only do they immerse me in the attraction before I get on the ride but they also drop me off in a similarly themed area. The shop/plaza that pirates comes out into is a great extension of the ride. And I love coming out of the Haunted Mansion and slowing walking out (especially at night) looking at all of the details.

And the animated tombstone at HM is great. I love when someone sees it and then try to convince others in their party of what they saw.

The only way to post something absurd is to call someone else's post absurd.:)

Listen, I agree with KennyJ29 and Scooter. Even though KennyJ29 came across really crude she made a good point. If you ever go to Disney during peak season you don't really care whats around the Queue line because your on it for so long. Their is only so much Queue line scenery that you can take. I know thats where shes coming from because I know her personally and have gone on all my vacations with her and the rest of my family. And let me point out she is not a mean person or insensitive in anyway.

Scooter don't take offense to what KennyJ29 said, the way it sounded was you don't like fast lines at Disney because you like to take in the queue line scenery, which I find absurd as well. She didn't realize it was about insensitive guests pushing and shoving you when your walking slowly through the queue line and taking it all in. I'm the same way, I never rush through a line when its empty, I take my time, and mabey even video tape it as well. I agree with you there, there have been times where other guests have given me dirty looks and pushed me but it never bothers me because I'm at happiest place on Earth :D

I always wished the line actually existed on journey into the imagination, lots of fun stuff to watch.

As for the one queue i wish was tons and tons longer wasn't even at a disney park, but was the most amazing line i ever wanted to wait in...Dueling Dragons at the Islands of Adventure. I'm sure i'm not the only one out there who thinks so. :) (I enjoyed the line more than the ride! I think they took some tips from disney on the details) :hammer:

know this sounds crazy...but I get upset sometimes when the Queue lines are too short and Go too fast.

This was the original post.........I'm not crazy, if you don't think this sounds absurd then I apologize. If you read the rest of my post, you would see that I agreed with you about the queue's being a great part of the ride. As far as rude people on the lines, no matter what park you go to there are always rude people. Even in Disney!!! They are all idiots and I agree with the pushing and shoving. In a case like that however, you just say "If I'm going to slow for you, then go ahead of me!" They will be embarressed! People will side with you on the lines and the impatient ones will look ridiculous not you! But I'm saying is people have opinions about attractions. We don't always agree but we all have our opinions. But to say the lines are "too short" and "go to fast" is crazy. Most people welcome that and if you don't, then you stop and look and let all the impatient people go ahead. I'm not saying your opinion on the queue lines is wrong what I'm saying is to say a line is too fast or too short is! Call me nasty but your reading my whole post totally wrong.
