Hey,

I just bought the new Nightmare Before Christmas DVD and I was watching the Haunted Mansion Holiday part and I was thinking would you like it to come to WDW's Haunted Mansion?(They also do it in Tokyo Disneyland)

NOTE: This is not true it is just a question and what you think!

Took my DD to DL last fall to see HM there as she is a HUGE NMBC fan. Would love to see it come to WDW. :sohappy::sohappy::sohappy:

I voted no.
Not a Tim Burton fan
Didn't like the movie at all.
Haunted Mansion is a Classic attraction that should remain untouched.
Even during the holidays.

Well to Disneyland is the original right? and they change the original mansion so why not change it's sister mansion? It would be cool if they did it to WDW.

I voted no, just because I love the Haunted Mansion the way it is.
If they added Christmas decor to it (like a large tree in the ballroom) I would be fine, but don't add NBC.

WDW has the blessing of space, so put an all-year NBC attraction in the studios somewhere. Make it a dark ride, and then it wouldn't have to follow the Haunted Mansion's own story.

My vote is yes. I have a take it or leave it attitude toward the movie. I’m a die hard Haunted Mansion fan and love it in original form and am very skeptical of any changes. But…. The last time I was at DL it was during the Haunted Mansion Holiday. I was pleasantly surprised. It’s very well done and a lot of fun. If you’ve never seen it, then give it a chance before making up your mind. You may find that you’d like it.

Yes!

I've seen the Nightmare Before Christmas overlay at the Disneyland resort and it is fun. It's well done, although it does take away a bit from the obviously great classic Haunted Mansion, it is a nice change for a short time, especially for those who frequent the parks.

Love Tim Burton and YES.

I am never down near the holidays, unfortunately, but if I was I would love to see the mansion done up for the holiday season!

The thing is that at the Disneyland Resort they have to cater for a big percentage of their guests revisiting many times a year, so Christmas attractions such as the Haunted Mansion Holiday are a big welcome, on the other hand, the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World has mostly guests visiting for the first time or first time in many years. Remember the 25year birthday cake (I mean castle) imagine if that was the first time you saw a Disney castle. Similar for Haunted Mansion, the main version of the attraction would in my opinion appeal more for many of those guests.

I'd have to say not in favor.

Not that I have anything against Tim Burton or the Nightmare Before Christmas idea. We saw it at DL and it was kinda cute. I just don't think it's worth the attraction being down for the time period before to set it up and after to take it down. I'm not a proponent of things that negatively impact the guest experience. Like that big ole ugly crane setting up the lights on the castle. The lights themselves are beautiful for Christmas, but how long will that crane be sitting there ruining the castle view?

After riding DL's HM Holiday last December, it was one of the top highlights of our trip. I love the movie, and loved the overlay.

I love the original HM, but if an overlay is done with the proper care, you can make a great ride even more special for the holidays.

I'd go for no. The downtime required before and after is way to long. For DL it may work, becaues so many of the visitors are locals. For WDW, where the visitor profile is far more diverse, you cant have the mansion clsoed for so long.

Heading for the great escape.
Not if it meant, closing the attraction for weeks on end to do the make over. The MK is a tourist attraction most of whos guests have travelled to be there.
