As for the Country Bears. It used to be a popular classic attraction. DL certainly misses theirs. The only reason why most guest don't experience this attraction is because it has become old and out dated. It is also in a desperate need of a rehab. I guarantee if you were to update the show and give it some new AAs much like the recent HM and Pirates refurbs it would draw a crowd. After all, Pirates and HM used to be a walk on until fairly recently. Don't know what changed that tho. ;)

Please, everyone still knew those attractions existed, even if they were walk ons. You have no idea how many times I gave directions to guests using the Country Bears' breezeway, and they had no clue what the Country Bears were.

Country Bears used to be a classic, I'll agree with you. Unfortunately it lacks greatly now. I'll agree management has let it fall into despair, but it has no draw. Most kids I've seen get bored in it, and the same goes for the parents. It's unfortunate, but it's honestly past its time, and is definitely no longer in the league with HM and POTC.

Sorry, but it's the truth

Heading for the great escape.
I think that a lot of us forget that not every person who goes to WDW has a large background of information or studies the web site or even in general plans what their doing each day other than the park their visiting. Not every guest that comes to the MK knows that HM is a major attraction. .

Riiggggggghtttttttt, so how does that then support the argument that doing the layover is worth the money because it would draw in extra people. In effect what you are saying is that people who are in the park will go on it because its different from usual, no? So no extra visitors, or limited at best? Which brings me back to the earlier point, given that Disney is laying off "live artists" why would they spend money on an attraction for no perceptible increase in income?

As for Emos and the HM, how would you be able to tell if they were enjoying it anyway?

The interesting thing about HMH is that each park it has been put into has doubled or tripled its wait time. If WDW was to advertise both to locals and those one time only guest or first time guest that this was something extra special for the Holiday season they would line up. Just like locals, one time only guest, and first time guest line up for a new attraction.

They want to ride it because they know it's something new or different because they have been told so. I waited almost two hours for HM the day it reopened from it's refurb. People knew something special was going on that day so they got in line. Same thing would happen if you brought over HMH. It would be an "event."

This attraction would also generate income because they could sell limited edition merchandise that guest would buy. Just like how guest buy MVMCP merchandise, or Osbourn Lights merchandise, or Star Wars Weekend Merchandise. Money would be made off this attraction.

It's unfortunate, but it's honestly past its time, and is definitely no longer in the league with HM and POTC.

Kids like Pirates because it features Jack Sparrow. People flock to HM because the park map tells them that it has something new. Your right, HM and Pirates are in a league of their own. Country Bears used to be in that league with them. I still hear guest who want to know why there is no Christmas show. Update Country Bears so it relates to today's audience and say it features new this and that and guest will come see it.

Here's some food for thought:

Everyone likes The Haunted Mansion.
I have never met anyone in my lifetime that says things like "That attraction is lame!" or " I wish they would shut The Haunted Mansion down and do something else with that space!"

Some people like Tim Burtons movie Nightmare Before Christmas. Some don't.

It seems to me that if EVERYONE likes something, why change it into something that only SOME people would enjoy.

I say...If it aint broke, don't fix it.

Several posters have mentioned the HMH tour on the Nightmare Before Christmas DVD special features. For those of you who don't have the DVD, it is now up on youtube in four different parts. They explain the concept and give an overview of the attraction.

Part 1.

Part 2.

Part 3.

Part 4.

Thanks to conner623 :)

I originally voted yes, but then I saw these videos and I'm not sure if I like that idea. But then again, that's at Disneyland.
