Full fledged country or not, the Caribbean isn't currently represented in WS other than during F&W so I'd like to see this happen. Some old San Juan placemaking would be phenomenal. Oh and because mallorca bread. Mallorca. Bread.

I will take it. It would mean finally a pavilion coming to The World Showcase after decades. Especially if we get attractions out of the deal. A re-imagined version of a suspended tram ride would be welcome.

Also a side note, Texas will not succeed in becoming its own nation. If a state declares itself seperate from the United States. It is technically an act of war and all funds including military are pulled. Texas gun lovers aside, losing your navy air force, marines and army is not a good thing.

I do not believe we will ever see a new full-fledged pavilion in WS. We may see temporary or smaller scale pavilions (food, shopping, and exhibits, but no rides).

JUST Talked to a Disney rep who is always honest with me. She flat-out denies the newspaper story's claims. She says while lots of people might like a pavilion at Epcot there have been absolutely no discussions about adding Puerto Rico. I have never had a Disney spokesperson deny something this emphatically this fast.

There only seems to be this one article that is saying that.

I don't think this will actually happen, for the same reasons it hasn't for any other group that wanted to open a pavilion in the WS, but if it were to happen, I would hope Disney would toss some money in on their end to add an actual ride. I would also keep my fingers crossed for it to be original, non-character based. I know my wishes are all stretching things, but hey, a guy can wish, right?

Well, that and the women...
Are we talking the upside of Puerto Rico? Then yes, Puerto Rico would be a great addition.

Brazil and South Korea are more believable and would make great additions, imo. That is if they ever do add a new country.

This image made me cringe a bit. The Cast Member parking lot at Epcot is incredibly small now, imagine what would happen by doing this!

I have no doubt that Puerto Rico is extremely unlikely to ever happen, but I find people to be saying it doesn't belong because it isn't a country kinda silly. The cultural aspect of the World Showcase should not require a pavilion to be restricted only to independent states and it's non-sovereign nations have been planned in the past (Scandinavia, Equatorial Africa). Puerto Rico would be a nice enough addition to freshen up that part of the park, even just as a standard food/drink/merch setup (would be wonderful for a new nice to come, of course).
