into you...

BTW What would you know what imagineering is all about!:brick:

Why don't you think of someting better, fun for the kids
and still blending in with the particular park

Would you rather have a coaster (kraken) as Seaworld (Fl)
has, which hasn't got anything to do with seaworld, dispite of the name of some sort of a sea dragon...

I do know what imagineering is all about considering I've created a whole theme park for my art class. The park has nothing to do with Disney and is 100% original.

Corrus, you're officially on my radar.....it's one thing to discuss...quite another to insult and attack.

I'm still confused about these cars. Is it just a normal Mulholland Madness type car that spins?

We could really use some pics!

There is a roller coaster like they put in at WDW at New Orleans's cheap theme park Jazzland and what it is, is a roller coaster and at certain times the car will start spining so you lose all sense of direction.

Information about the ride can be found here .
It's not a carny ride that's been mounted in place. It's the version that is "an adaptable structure especially designed for your landscape relief and vegetation (trees, rocks, brooks,...), with a larger ground surface for a larger development (tunnels, mountains, crossings, bridges and other attractions)."
Can we at least wait until it opens before we pronounce it to be crap?

Sorry to drag out old posts but one thig to think about when you see stats like this is that after the season of novelty wears off the numbers drop back down to near where they were before.

Question

A question for those of you who negatively criticize DinoRama and Primeval Whirl:

Upon visiting Animal Kingdom, will you obstain from entering the DinoRama section of the park and avoid riding Primeval Whirl?

If you answer "no," then the Disney team has done their job.

Timekeeper, so do I understand your philosophy for Disney? Do just enough so that people don't abstain from experiencing the attraction and they've "done their job."?? Give them as little as possible without turning the guests off and you've accomplished your goals? That's not the Disney Company I've known.

I was afraid that my comment might be taken out of context. Apply the plain meaning rule, and don't try to read what is not there.

In essence, no, the "give them as little..." reasoning is not my philosophy. However, because rides (and all forms of entertainment) are viewed subjectively, if they successfuly draw attendance - then yes, they've done their job ...so to speak. This is due to the fact that while a few may not like it, there are more people that will.

While the nature of the attraction is debatable (case in point), it is my *opinion* that it is well themed, particularly for its target audience.

My original thought was towards those who have repetitiously complained about the ride. Rather than post the same complaint a dozen times, just obstain from riding it. Actions speak louder than words, right? Once, maybe even twice, is enough for us (message board surfers) to get the point of a poster's opinion.

For those of you that 'really' dislike PW, start your own "People Who Dislike PW" website, and see just how many hits it recieves.

I am not personally criticizing your post, as this IS a "discussion" forum. I just don't see the point in redundant complaining.

Here's a suggestion.....

The next time you are in a store that sells computer software, buy the game "Roller Coaster Tycoon" and get the upgrade "Loopy Landscapes" This games allows you to build your own theme park, put in what you want, leave off what you do not want, charge whatever admission you want, adds decorative items, stores, etc. You can be like Eisner and be the master of your domain.

If you want a spinning rc, put it in, if not, leave it off. Your objective is to manage the park for three years, have happy guests, and make a profit.

(Actually, the game, although it sounds a little silly, is really very addictive!)

Timekeeper, just fyi, I got the same 'message' as gcurling from your first post, even though after reading your follow-up, I find I am near 100% agreement with you.

I beleive DR will be an excellent addition to AK for its particular target and I don't see anything wrong with that. But as gcurling has pointed out to me before (during a meal at BOMA, as I recall), it is doubtful that DR will offer anything to attract those people who currently do not find AK appealing (I am not one of them), therefore I think a lot of the disatisfaction over DR being bandied about is from that group that is hoping for the start of BK to hopefully draw them back into the AK fold. Lastly, I agree that BK is (still) necessary to make AK more palatable to a larger audience & my fingers are eternally crossed for a 'greenlight' TBA...

The reason for the trci spin is simple, DK needs more A,b,c, ticket rides. They have 3 rides right now and they are all considered E-Rides. The prievalwhirll and the spin will elivate wait time for the e-tickets.

Cook has a VERY good point. Also...Say there's a family with an adventurous 9 year old and a 4 year old. The 4 year old won't really enjoymuch of anything there other then Camp MinnieMickey :brick: but say the dad and 9 year old go on Dinosaur...Now there will be something for the mom and four year old to do other then wait outside the exit (Which is VERY crowded at times with people waiting for the rest of their party to disembark.)
