We get invited to explore Antonio's door...Okay team. Let's figure out how we can add South America, Columbia in particular and within Columbia, the rainforest, animals, blah blah blah, and also slip in Casa Madrigal!

(Encanto was fantastic and man, it would be fun to visit that house...)

What a land that could be... imagine just even the plant life and flowers that could be incorporated. Would be stunning.

I always thought the sliding on tree branches thing they did in Kingdom Hearts was a huge missed opportunity for a fun ride.
After seeing Encanto I do think a South America area could do well. Antonio clearly allows for a bridge for the animal trail. Clearly the highlight would be jaguars on that one. As for the main attraction, I feel like Casa Madeigal and the events of the movie could allow for a Mystic Manor type ride (trackless, with the house coming apart due to a magical forces) very easy to see. I would also hope that it could use the tango for “We don’t talk about Bruno” for the main ride track with the title song being the finale.

I dreamed of a Tarzan version of that swinging coaster between Africa and Pandora.

Umm... I can understand a M&G of Tarzan showing up in DAK, because... he lives in a jungle.
What I don't understand is the longing for a Tarzan ride in Animal Kingdom, since he's not an animal.*

I thought the moral of the story was that he is more civilized than the rest of us evil mankind...
Which means a Tarzan ride would make much more sense right in the middle of Epcot next to Test Track! Actually save money just gut Spaceship Earth and turn it into Tarzan!

What the heck is all this talk about Encanto??? I'm not caught up... That'd work better in Epcot... What the heck.. I sure am glad nobody on these forums are in charge of what goes in Animal Kingdom. Jesus christ.
Agreed… there is only one character that is a concerned with animals… and a minor one at that…. Sheesh
You don't think (Colombia) South America with it's rain forests, flora and fauna would be a good fit for Animal Kingdom? And then since, like it or not, they would incorporate IP anyways, Encanto is a great fit - did you see the movie?
Obviously, I highly doubt they are adding any new land/continent to AK, but it would be lightyears better than adding Wakanda. Or Tarzan. Or Zootopia. Or more dinosaurs.

It happens every time there's a new Disney movie. For whatever reason, people see new a movie and think "that deserves a ride".

A South America section in AK would be nice, but we don't have to support the IP mandate.
but you know they will have anything based on an IP regardless...

While I agree, there’s certainly a story treatment you could do using Encanto with Antonio talking to animals and going on a adventure that would easily fit with DAK. A book report attraction wouldn’t be right though.
Up also would work well for DAK.
Without an IP, you're not getting a South America land.
Antonio's magical room is a portal to South American rainforest fauna. Actual animals. Not talking lions. Or mythical mountain monsters. It'd be the only other ride about actual living animals. Heck, it could be a gateway to a second safari trip through an actual South American 'zoo.'
