how do you get round Kim Possible > Kimberly Potentially ?

What did he do to "create drama"?? :veryconfu He raised some valid points which no one was able to debate on it's own merits so they resorted to personal attacks instead. How is that WBC's fault?

Has anyone else noticed that the most daring thing a person can do on this board is to DEFEND the Walt Disney Company? It's absolutely unbelievable the Disney-bashing that goes on in this specifically Disney-oriented community. One person dares to speak out that a customer might be responsible for a poor decision and that Disney might not be as evil as everyone thinks, and we have this uproar from the fanboys.

*Insert fanboy objecting to the term "fanboy" here.*

for their lack of customer service.

My son's 5th bday is coming up in three weeks. We're surprising him by taking him to Disney World. A week and a half ago my wife and I went online to the Disney site and made a Tshirt with Mickey on the front and the words "Today's my 5th Birthday" and on the back it said "and I'm going to Disney World". So we never get an email that the shirt has shipped. My wife checks the site and it says order completed, but no shipping info last week. She calls this AM and they say the order was cancelled because of the word "Disney" which they say is a copyright and that we can't use that word. They never sent an email explaining any of this. I don't know if the disneyshopping site is seperate but that's pretty poor. I'm going to see if we can get someone local to make the shirt.

If you do not get it done somewhere local, you could always get it made in Downtown Disney next to the Art of Disney Store. At least there will actually be a person that you could talk to and possibly get either the WDW logo or the writing placed on the shirt. Just a thought.

I'm certainly not opposed to being critical of Disney when it is deserved. However, this was a case where Disney was, IMO, not in the wrong. Rather, the OP is unable or unwilling to own up to the fact that he didn't read the instructions, which were pretty crystal clear. He used the excuse that "it was 11:30pm at night" but again, that doesn't make it Disney's fault. And despite his protestations that he "wasn't upset about not getting to do the t-shirt, but just upset about not getting an email from Disney", I'm not buying it. I think his most recent post about wearing an unauthorized t-shirt and seeing if he gets in trouble for it is pretty telling of what he is truly "upset" about.

That sounds bitter. I thought you weren't upset about not being able to get the shirt printed...only about them not emailing you about YOUR mistake.

Dude, I was joking. I think someone takes somethings on here way too seriously. Hence the sideways eyes emoticon.

Again, let me repeat myself:

I understand the trademark issue and still think it is strange, but if an order is placed and the order is cancelled for whatever reason, the customer should be notified. Period, end of story.

It does not matter if the customer screwed up and ordered something incorrectly as I obviously did. To further elaborate: If you order a car at your dealer with X package and Y option and your dealer takes your deposit and places the order but GM will not build a car with X package and Y option do you think the dealer should notify you that it can't be done, or should they just cancel the order and never contact you? That is what occured here.

Again, no animosity over the trademark, just the fact that they should have notified me. I also suspect it is not Disney who runs that service. One of the reasons many here love Disney is because of their excellent customer service. They are held to a higher level, as they should be. In every other aspect of services they provide they communicate very well with their guests/customers, which is why this instance stands out and is odd.

Yes I got that you were joking (I didn't seriously think you were actually going to do it ). But jokes are often rooted in how we really think and feel. To comment about it in the way you did (joking or not), shows that's what you consider to be the true issue at hand. This after protesting so adamantly that that's not what bothered you about the whole situation. That's clearly where your mind was. And as I stated, that's very telling.

Really? Was your credit card charged? And if so, did they credit you back?

I also suspect it is not Disney who runs that service.

Then why did you title the thread "Pretty upset at Disney right now"? :hammer:

Cleary you think you have more insight than you do. Did you take an internet correspondance course on psychology? And yes you can infer from my post that I don't really care for you. I dismiss your theory because if we all had animosity towards the subjects of our jokes then there would be a lot of angry people out there, of which I am not one.

My card was charged, and as of today it had not been credited back yet.

Funny that you're just now mentioning that detail for the first time. Nowhere in your opening post did you say anything whatsoever about your card being charged. I would think that would be a pretty significant detail to leave out.

And no response to my second question?
