Just to be clear. Relying on the sun to kill the virus has nothing to do with why the park hours are the way they are.
"Current cases" is such a useless metric. I don't care if six billion people GET the virus if we're able to treat them effectively.I'm speaking on current cases, not the unfortunate deaths from March and April.
Shows won’t have a meaningful return until guests can safely stand close to each other.Definitely going to be a issue with capacity, as it currently is, and park reservations once evenings and nighttime shows return. I think a lot of people are holding off and waiting for that to happen.

Only if it’s deemed safe. And that would point to the state of your country, assuming many other countries will still be unable to visit.I’d like to think by the holidays some shows can return.
And it if it was Illuminations instead of Epcot Forever.

Masks plus social distancing. In the dark. With kids on shoulders and people constantly adjusting to get a better view. And even just 5000 people stood in close proximity. Can't they just wear masks?

And then the mass exodus.
It Isn’t currently deemed safe enough.
In the court of public opinion, flu is not dangerous.By then it will be flu season.

And it has a vaccine.
I’d like to think by the holidays some shows can return. Maybe a shortened version of HEA and or Epcot Forever?
Sadly that brings it’s own concerns this year in particular.By then it will be flu season.

AFAIK post pandemic the rule will be removed. When that might be is anyone’s guess.I'm interested to see if the mask rules get pushed after the pandemic.
At least maintenance is still (somewhat) going on for Fantasmic!
Could F! be the first nighttime spectacular to return, given it has a large seating area for social distancing, also since Disney finally worked something out with equity workers?
Mosquito prevention? The moat has been drained for quite some time. This is not a recent development.
I’ve heard that suggested (I also heard it suggested for RoL, and look at what happened there haha). The issue isn’t getting people in and getting people spaced; the issue is getting people out without causing a crowd. (And, even reduced cap studios is expected to have a demand for Fant! That would exceed supply).
