After hearing about how cold it is down  there I will add to your list.....hats, mittens, wool socks, winter coats....you can always make room for these things, just take out the sun block and aloe. :p:lookaroun. Sorry, I am sure it will warm up some by the time you arrive, at least I hope it does cause I would feel bad if I taunted you for a laugh or two and then it became a reality. Please have a great trip despite the weather and bad joke attempts on my part.

Dawn-You are going to have such a good time! I'm jealous, I have to wait until Oct. to go to the Fort. It is my absolute FAVORITE place to stay at the world. We drive down from Maine with our 32' camper, and I wouldn't have it any other way. I saw that you were concerned with the price of the carts-it is expensive. We don't usually rent them, however we have never been down in the 2000 area. We usually are 500-800, not bad walking distance to the Meadows or Settlement. I don't find the bus system bad though. Everyone is so friendly, make sure you somehow find a way to go "looping". Even if you rent a cart for just one day, it's worth checking out the other sites and talking to the other campers. One of my favorite things to do when at the Fort is watch the MK fireworks from the beach. It is a beautiful view, not crowded and you can relax, have a drink from Crockett's Tavern while the kids play in the sand, and when the speakers are working you can here the music. After stick around for the water pageant. Ah, now I want to just pack up the camper and head out! I look forward to reading your report, maybe it will tide me over until I can go again.:)

This just goes to show you that those of us who love FW will always go back there time and time again, what a peaceful place it is. If you stay at the cabins or tent/rv camp it is the best place to stay! We go looping, we watch the fireworks and the pageant and love the beach area for its quiet beauty. I don't even have a tent and I want to go right now too!

Don't forget matches, I always forget matches so it's a good thing we only camp 5 miles from our house!:ROFLOL:

I have a lighter :)

I know I was thinking the same thing. It does not matter how cold it is Disney fans are just like mailmen rain, snow, hail... we will be there no matter what.:ROFLOL: :lookarounhurricanes:lookaroun

Thanks! No, it hasn't come yet. One month from tomorrow.

Hope the weather warms up for you.

Thank you so much!

I am looking forward to meeting other fellow campers and taking lots pictures to share with everyone. If it helps one more person make a decision to stay at the Fort then my job is done.:)

:drevil:....you have no idea how I want to except that offer! Too funny! I agree about the weather, it does not matter what is happening if you are a WDW fan. I was just there a couple of months ago and I am scheming a way there again this October, only time and money will tell!

I think there is a warm up coming, we are predicted to be in the 50's this weekend, it's minus 5 this morning. If we can come up to the 50's then Florida should be nice and warm! We need to melt some of our blasted snow, come on spring!!!
