Pre-philharmagic?

What was in this space before? I always feel like philharmagic is relatively new, but I can't think of anything being housed there.

Legend of the Lion King was right before PhilharMagic.
Before that 3D movies were shown (Magic Journeys from Epcot).
Mickey Mouse Musical Revue was the original attraction.

Ah, right. Thanks.

Is it just me or does philharmagic not get the attention it deserves? Never seems to be a wait or much talk about it, but it's pretty fantastic IMO.

I totally agree with you. And I think that they are trying to bump up attendence by promoting it alot (It has been at least a year that the Times Guide at the Magic Kingdom gives the attraction it own block in bold). Large group of people can move through the theatre though, and I have to say I have never been in an EMPTY show. But at the same time, I think most people are looking for moving rides at the Magic Kingdom. The Philharmagic, as well as Hall of Presidents, Country Bears, etc. seem to be the attractions most guests vistit when they need to kill some time.

I agree it's the best of the WDW 3-Ds (Muppets is pretty good too), and it's my favorite attraction in FL.

I don't think people are just killing time between rides at Philharmagic. It's not like you really do anything on FL rides anyway - they just take you through scenery and play audio like at Philharmagic, but not as good.

It always plays to full houses when I visit. It is a strange, almost forgotten about attraction I agree.

Always pretty full when I go (and I generally go at non-peak season); I just think that it holds so many guests that throughput is excellent.

I love Philharmagic. One of my favorite attractions at WDW. It really has that Disney feel that keeps me coming back.

It also seems full for me also. But I have to say waiting in the queue for more then one show is KILLER!!!!

I agree Philharmagic is a great attraction, but for reasons I can't entirely explain I'm never in a big hurry to see it anymore.

in addition to being promoted in the times guide, philharmagic 'surprise' fastpasses are usually given in the morning at pooh and pan fastpass machines.

the theatre can fit almost 500 people, so that is one of the reasons why there is never a long wait.

i've noticed many guests don't want to go on it because it's not a "ride."

i think it's generally accepted that philhar is a great attraction, but not one that encourages multiple viewings in a day.

I think this is probably case. I don't think I have ever been in it where it wasn't at least 80% full but I don't think I have ever had to wait more than 10 minutes and I probably wouldn't have had to have waited that long if I had showed up a little closer to the next show.

I do wish they still had the Legend of the Lion King somewhere. Philharmagic is a great show and I see it when ever I go to the Magic Kingdom, but I wish they had found a home for the Lion King.

I LOVE Philharmagic!!! Its one of my favorite attractions in MK. I go see it multiple times a day when I'm there: sometimes to kill time, sometimes just because I want to. I've seen it probably almost a hundred times and it never gets old! :) That's the sign of a good attraction.
Whenever I go its either packed or nearly empty. Never anything in between.
