Possible Frontierland expansion

If I was an aspiring Imagineer wannabe I'd consider developing a reimagined Splash to present during the interview process. If it was compelling enough I'd guess you could be on a fast track to success.

Needs a viable franchise or story that could be franchised. And needs to actually fit the western motif.

Even if the current management does not see the need or have the time left for such a change the next more likely would. IMO.

If Splash were to be re-themed it would be proof that Disney management has truly lost their way. Splash is one of the best themed rides in WDW, and is very popular. Concerns over the content of the movie will fade more and more every year as fewer and fewer people riding know about the content of the movie. There are so many things around WDW that need updated themeing more then Splash.

Fortunately, in all the sins of management, spending money where it isn't needed isn't normally one of them.

That, by the way, was a very cute movie. I don't care what anybody says.

Could they just put a switch on the Splash flume to run you off the backside and over the train so you went around BTMRR then across the canal and to the new expansion where they moved IASW? That would solve the problem of draining the moat around TSI.

Once back there you would have the hop the train to get out but act like a hobo and roll onto the train as you run alongside. Should be cake to pull off....

Oh definitely.
At this point, Splash Mountain is too much of an institution to ever really change.
After the Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean, I would consider Splash the least likely attraction to ever be removed or permanently rethemed.
"disney haunted mansion ride" has 647,000 results on Google.
"disney splash mountain ride" has 1,040,000.
