Possible Attraction in France pavilion (Epcot) Update - new Attraction Greenlit

My "new" rule for off-limits topics to talk to people - never talk to people about religion, politics or their definition of what an E ticket is. These are subjects everybody believes they are right on, will never truly listen when you don't agree with them, but most will say they are listening when you say that to them.

Ain't this the truth. We've got so many "experts" here... Pulling up that old thread reviled that everyone has different definitions yet everyone felt theres to be the only one. I know, never to ask this question again.. lol

I've ridden Rat before, and I would say it is a great ride. It's not as good as Spider-Man, but for me at least, I prefer it to Transformers. Picture a ride similar to Spidey with virtually no thrill level (it does tilt, vibrate etc though). It's actually kind of like a super high tech version of WDW's Pooh's vehicles.

I'd say it would fit great in the France pavilion for an ip. Though I still wonder how a train ride through the French countryside would be, or some other custom made attraction.

it just fits in better with epcot and the france pavilion architecture (if an IP must), and with the food and wine fest and all. The beautybeast ride would be nice but not there, maybe one day it could replace that glorified cafeteria in the magic kingdom, where it should have gone to begin with.
If they could move some things around, they could probably build a ride behind Be Our Guest. It'd take some planning, but it'd work.

While I wish Rat could have gone into Pixar Place, Disney killed it with Toy Story Land, so I guess this is the next best option. At least it's much more appropriate for the location than BatB.

I agree, I think it will be good for Epcot, even though I would rather IP not be in world showcase. But there is no chance of that now from here on out.

I believe little things are still being finalised. But things could start to happen sooner rather than later.

Assuming it is green lit, when would they announce the ride? Would they wait until D23? Or do they ever just announce plans out of the clear blue sky?

For those of you who have rode the Paris rat version, is it any good? Mediocre? Solid?

Personal opinion - it's a pretty solid, fun ride. It has a cute story, nice mix of screens and physical sets (refrigerator, dining trolley, etc). Overall a fun family ride, that does look at the cuisine of France (in an entertaining way, rather than educational way).

It's not a thrill ride, but a fun immersive family ride

Thank you - the major complaint I've seen online is that they rely to heavily on screens. Sounds like you feel as if it has a nice balance then.
