No inside info, but I would have to imagine an attraction in that pavilion would need a rework of the layout. It's extremely tight back there as it is, and there's nothing to see besides a bakery and some ice cream.

The proposal is to clone the WDSP ride layout. Expect the interior queue to have some modifications.
I meant the layout of the pavilion's walking areas, not the layout of the attraction. That pavilion can't hold more foot traffic than it has now.

As it stands I'd expect the existing pavilion layout and theatre area to remain as it is.

I am not a hater by nature, I want to like new additions but I passionately care about Epcot and what it used to be that I find it difficult to see it's original mission statement get discarded this way.
I agree with you there, but you have to admit that an ip that is about the food and culture of a country is literally the best choice outside of an original attraction. It's also not a replacement like Maelstrom was. It's best for placement to be done at least representing the country properly compared to just letting the park rot like it has for the last decade.
