All kiding aside, this is one of the projects I have to keep tightest lipped about. What I can say is that, of the pads that have been shown, it is on pad 4, 5, or 6. Said pavillion will have one major attraction. At least one pavillion will gain an attraction.

PS: Now that I think about it, in a weird, convulted, cryptic way, Fuller House does tie in a bit to the plan.
@Magic Feather could you be referring to the country Uncle Jesse's relatives are from as featured in season 4 when they come visit? Thats the episode where Michelle and her twin-like cousin meet. I'll refrain from saying that country that sounds like Fleece

A few pages back during a summary, it was mentioned that Disney still would require a country to sponsor/fund a pavilion. Is this true? I thought this was a myth with the exception of Morocco - in a way??? If true, Brazil is going through a very bad economic crisis so them finding and giving Disney money would probably be the last thing on their list. I respect the culture but I'd rather see one of the other suggested countries like Switzerland, India, Greece....etc. Also, perhaps to a lesser degree RIO (the blue bird movie) may have some conflicts with Disney.
Wasn't Greece under some financial distress a couple years ago? If a Greek pavilion did happen (with Hercules, possibly?), I wouldn't be too upset (I love Greek food). I really just think that whatever new country is added, it shouldn't be from Europe. Not yet, anyway.

Greece with an epic ride based on Homer's Odyssey and a Hercules show in the style of old Greek theater. Think of the small scene from the "Zero to Hero" sequence where they're watching a play about how he defeated the Hydra.

@Direwolf27 this is the 1st connection I thought of from the Tanner clan, still trying to think of other connections. I agree with you totally

Oooooh
Idk how you "kid-friendly" the Odyssey, though now that I think about it, Wishbone dedicated an episode to it.

I felt like it was a San Francisco/Fransokyo reference for Japan, which makes me incredibly nervous. :cautious:

If it is a Greek pavilion though, I won't be mad. Slightly disappointed, but I'm sure those feelings will go away as soon as I start stuffing my face with spanakopita and saganaki ;)

I hope that the new land is as well themed like the Swiss land you shared.

Minus the Space Mountain/Test Track hybrid, I certainly hope so. I'm sure there are plans for the Venezuela, Spain, and Israel pavilions somewhere (though maybe not online), and I would love to see them someday.

The World Showcase really captured the feeling of being somewhere else, so I hope the Imagineers can still replicate that feeling with whatever new countries they choose to include in the future.

There were plans for a 'Rhine River Cruise', but nothing came of it. I think the space is used for storage.
I think they should team up with Lehman Gross Bahn that makes the train set out front as a sponsor, and create a family powered coaster (Disneyland Circus Train) sort of attraction..a train ride across scenic Germany... Have it do a final swing outdoors behind the train set...
Perfect fit, German tie in, and nothing else in EPCOT like that.

Look what they did with Sinbad for Tokyo Disney Seas...

Right. An Odyssey ride similar in scope to TDS's Sindbad ride would be awesome. That said, if they ever built a Greece Pavilion, we'd almost certainly get a Hercules ride if anything. (If they do that, they could at least use his Greek name, not his Latin one, but we all know that wouldn't happen because of branding.)

Anyway, I tend to agree that there's enough Europe in WS and would prefer a country from elsewhere.

Australia and New Zealand would be great additions to World Showcase. Looking at it from merchandising point of view, it's easy to see the profits with that two. Didgeridoos and boomerangs, kangaroo stuffed animals and exotic petting zoo. The possibilities are endless.
