Australia and New Zealand would be great additions to World Showcase. Looking at it from merchandising point of view, it's easy to see the profits with that two. Didgeridoos and boomerangs, kangaroo stuffed animals and exotic petting zoo. The possibilities are endless.
They'd be fun in WS to be sure, but Australia belongs in Animal Kingdom. I don't think any country is as associated with its animals as much as Australia. They are even on the coins.

I'd be up for a section of Animal Kingdom on Canadian animals as well. Like the Maple Leaf and the Sailboat. ;)

Australia also fits the "start and end with A" pattern of Asia and Africa, as well as the pattern of continents. I'd have gone with America, Asia, Australia, Antarctica, and Africa as the DAK lands.

Of course, that's why I don't have a job where I'm in charge of such things.

Thats not just a "sailboat", that's the Bluenose, the most famous schooner in Canadian history.

Technically, it's a composite of three separate schooners, but in 2002, the government declared it the Bluenose; so that's what it is. ('Cause governments never offer up alternate facts, right?!)

I know that. Grew up in Detroit watching CBC Windsor Channel 9. Bluenose or generic sailboat (or three of them), it'd be an interesting exhibit at Animal Kingdom.

Nice to see concept for an ice cave cooling station actually was considered. Always thought this could work near Everest.

It's more a continual dumbing down of the park as a whole.
I respectfully disagree. In this case the story and experience of the Frozen ride excited our family infinitely more than Maelstrom ever did. The IP of Frozen was based on Scandinavian culture, so why not put it in Norway? They can't all go in Fantasyland. If a kid grows up loving that ride, I guarantee you that at some point they are going to investigate its Scandinavian origin, so the intent/mission of EPCOT is not lost because of IP being interlaced into the countries, it is furthering the EPCOT mission.

Now Monsters Inc. in Tomorrowland, or GOTG on Sunset, that's a different story.
