Possible Attraction in France pavilion (Epcot) Update - new Attraction Greenlit

Serpico seems convinced the Rat is coming to France and work will begin this year. As for the pavilion, also seems to think it will happen but not by MKs 50th but possible by EPCOT 40th

Thanks! Nice to know they have some sort of plan. Let's hope things don't get shifted or changed.
I'll let someone else take the limelight. Suffice to say within a decade WS could appear to be a lot "fuller".

As it's been mentioned, #2 is unavailable unless it's in a covered pavilion like Mexico. 1, 7, and 8 are all currently unusable, leaving 3-6. #6 could be used as an expansion pad for France & Rat. so I'm taking it off the list as well.
In terms of placement, I think #3 would be ideal. There's plenty of space, and it would be amazing if Disney actually used it. If it happened to be India or Brazil, the culture and food would be unique to the World Showcase.
That being said, if Disney decided to finally include Switzerland (in the #4 spot, including the Matterhorn), I wouldn't be upset. Slightly disappointed, but not upset.

Pure Conjecture on my pat, but 2/3 look like nice pads. Blastproof issues aside that's a spacious area. If 6 is being used for the Rat, I'd imagine to counter balance development needs to be on the other side of the WS.

Makes sense to (finally?) add to World Showcase... EPCOT is a HUGE park, but I'd imagine most of the crowds currently congregate mostly around the Future World half of the park (given the popularity of Soarin' and Test Track) with some spillover into the front of World Show Case for Frozen now. A new Ratatouille attraction in France and a new country (or two) adding another E-ticket level attraction in pads 3 and/or 4 would seem to create quite a pull to the back of the park.
