Pop Century Hotel

Has anybody stayed there before? Is it nice? I changed hotels today from the All Star Music to the Pop Century so my party of 5 can get the free Dining Plan! At the All Star Music we were in a 2 room family suite but here we had to change into 2 rooms hopefully adjoining like we requested. So I have never stayed here before what is it like? If anybody has any answers please post them here.

How did you get free dining? Was it a pin code or when they extended it until December 21st? I am a Disney Visa holder and the offer has not been given to us yet?

I too am dying to know how you got the free dining?? I've been checking the Disney web site like a maniac since Monday to see if they're offering it for August!!

I only can confirm what was already written by most commentators. The Pop is a GREAT value resort and we loved it during our last stay of 6 days and only can recommend it.
The rooms are quite small (not as cramped however as many naysaysers write about it) yes but how much of your day do you spend in your room? The AC is by far the most silent one I experienced during my entire Florida vacation in 2010 (compared to that the Polynesian's AC is a jet engine). The rooms have a friendly and welcoming design and housekeeping is better than in some Deluxe resorts! Theming is of course not as intense as this is a value resort but you still get definitely a Disney feeling on the resorts ground. The food court at Century Hall is great, quite a lot of different choices.
Bus service to the parks and back to the resort was excellent! No longer wait than 15 minutes and that long only on very rare occasions. Mostly less than 10 minutes. The Pop is not sharing it's buses with other Disney resorts so you have direct service to all parks and DTD.
We would always return to the Pop Century.

Free dining:

I know last year free dining was available to June 4 to the public as well as late Aug-Sept.
Then I received a pin code for free dining for all summer long. That must be what they have for July?

 And I thought it was just me and my wife!!!!

Don't worry, we're all doing it! I've been checking my email for any notifications, googling for any word, and scouring all the forums everywhere haha. And that's about once a day this happens! (the woes of planning a trip for 4 college students with no money!)

We've stayed at all the value resorts over the years but when Pop Century opened we stayed there then and have never looked back. We love POP! It's bigger, has 3 pools instead of 2 and in our opinion has a much better food court. Plus, it has the best bus system! You're going to love it!

Just stayed at Pop for the first time 4 weeks ago and loved it. Thought it was nicer than AS Movies. We requested adjoining rooms in the non-preferred part of the 70s building so my mom could be right next door, and that's exactly what we got. Short walk to the food court. Can't comment on the buses because we had a rental car. Will definitely stay here again.

It's the only place besides deluxes that we like to stay. Really nice food court, great transportation, and good teeming, especially for kids. We'll be staying there again in december.

I also LOVE the fact that the Bus only goes from our hotel to the parks and downtown disney and wont have to worry about making a million stops. When my dad heard that he was all for changing hotels hahaha

We love the Pop Century! From the themes, to the large food court, their 3 pools, the lake, everything about it. We've stayed there about 5 times in 2 years. Always keep going back to that one.
