It is like Pollo Tropical. Good quick service food. I wouldn't exactly saw bold or new, but overall a good choice for quick service at DTD. A step up from McD's certainly.

Seriously, this sounds like a nice addition but why the heck is it going in the Marketplace?

Sounds like the thrid parties want to stay out of there as well.:rolleyes:

Perfect, I love the "ethnic" aspect that allows folks to experience something new in flavor. The smells should be great.

I fully expect (or maybe just hope) that WDW will continue to add these crowd pleasers and give guests options to please everyone at DTD. I really think there will come a point where people a drawn to DTD by all the offerings. And I am not suprised this isn't being added to PI. They are obviously filling in the West End and the Marketplace while at the same time slowly scaling back PI's infrastructure and offerings. As if they are creating an empty canvas to paint on. I remain optimistic.

Again this add is perfect. A real Belgian waffle stand might work too. :king:

Pollo Campero tastes great; I had it about two years ago.

Too bad we're not getting a Popeye's or Chick-fil-A. :(

I'm happier with McDonald's and Disney not commingling their brands. The exodus from the parks was a good thing; so is this.

I've never heard of Pollo Campero or Pollo Loco - apparently there's a lot of these similar named places around? *laughs* They DID open up a couple "Pollo Tropical" locations around Tampa Bay last year but I've never tried them.

I'm just "eh" about it because I've never had it and it doesn't sound overly good or overly bad to me. :shrug:

I've had enough of DTD it's just a big old mess! I don't visit DTD as much as I use to. Universal's Citywalk is light years ahead of DTD. To many empty store fronts it's like a ghost town. And when a new place opens up they don't know where to place it. DTD is Disney World's weakest point and they need to fix it fast.:brick:

I know El Pollo Loco from my time in California - if it's on the East Coast, I haven't seen it. There are differences in flavors between Loco and Tropical (the latter seems more Cuban-inspired, the former more southwest), but the service type and general menu selections are similar.

Different people have different tastes not to mention budgets. One of DTD's goals should be to provide a mix of options that caters to these factors. It's definitely on that path. So yes, I think it's an excellent choice. You can't get fried plantains just everywhere. :slurp:

I love Pollo Tropical! Your right, Tropical is more islandy latin (Puerto Rico, Cuba). Never been to a Loco. This Comparo place sounds like Latin America, like Mexico to South America. But what about Paradiso?? Maybe they will compliment each other?.. one fast and one sit-down?
