Do you play at home? Is it similar?
We play the Wii version, and it is quite similar. I just don't care for the constant pulling of the "rope", nor do I care for the 90 minute plus wait times ( still hard to acquire a FP, especially to fit it into your schedule w/o FP+ of course).
I enjoy Buzz, as 1 time I was a "Galactic Hero" and so was my DH. He actually wore the button ( I didn't get one). A bit shorter wait time is much nicer ( if you get there at the right time of day). They are both fun for my boys, but I get tired of it sometimes.:(

I like TSMM for the game and challenge...

MiB obviously has the large physical aspect.. so it beats Buzz in that respect.. but the spinning was a bit too much for me (after a combination of different rides..). The queue has a bit of a cheapness look to it, tho I'm impressed with what they tackled.

The story of how Men In Black: Alien Attack came together is quite fascinating. Universal committed to a relatively soon opening date before any attraction had ever been conceptualized.

Took DD7 on MiB last year and she loved it. Thought she might be too scared but the interaction mitigated the fear factor. I too prefer the physical sets to the 3D of TSMM .. it's a close call but I give a slight edge to MiB due to that reason. Kind of growing tired of 3d this and 3d that. Bring on the dark rides with a .. gasp .. story!

Well, don't leave us hanging! Tell the story, give a link...something, please.

We need more!

(Don't be a tease.) ;)

The AAs could be better maintained, but that's about all I can think of. Though I LOVE when they have TMs in the main room just reading the paper or whatever.

TSMM is a great ride but MIB is the best. I can't even shoot straight because I'm laughing so hard at my otherwise calm and collected mom cursing the spinning car and making running commentary about her shooting. It's a great all around experience.

TSMM, due to the fact I never got to ride MiB. Sounds nice though! Buzz would be top but, if they could refurb it to be more physical 3D, I think it might make better competition to MiB. Or they could just find another theme, a plain space themed would be great because why do so many rides need to be based off a movie?

I have ridden all 3 and like Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin the best. With Men In Black the amount of spinning gets to me so I only ride it once per trip. I know it's already been mentioned about Toy Story Mania but the first time I rode the attraction, I felt like I was playing a video game compared to Buzz where I feel like I am actually in a video game.

I also like Buzz better since it's easier to get multiple rides in compared to Toy Story Mania unless you get to it at opening or use Fastpass, you are going to be waiting in line. During our last trip 2 years ago, at night there was not a single person in line and I was able to ride Spaceranger Spin 5 times in a row which gave me a chance to try to find the high point targets.

Wow. Really? Not a dig, just surprise.

I'll qualify a bit more.. lets look at the USF version... lighting is bad in the camera making it seem darker.. but the prime color schemes come through..

Things to note...
1) the light level and light temperature
2) the number of desks and overall density of things in the room
3) how many controls and objects are on the main console
3) the big screen itself being segmented
4) What is in the ante-wings under the walkways
5) The material finishes in use on the floor and columns

Now lets look at some grabs from the movie..

mib-mov1.jpg

What stands out immediately?
1) The lack of the 'sterile' cool lighting of the whole room... in both color temp, light sources, and overall lighting levels
2) The density of the work area in terms of people/tables/busy
3) The finishes... in the movie it's more chrome, shine, translucency... in USF it's painted silver, black and white.
4) The room is more square and lacks the arcs and curves of the movie set
5) The set is generally sparse and lacks prop density and all the elements that surrounded the main desk area

The result is the room comes off as
- small, 'empty', and the materials look like cheap knock offs

Now the coffee break room looks a ton better.. a long with the figures. But the HQ room from the film is just so ambitious... it makes the USF version look that much more cheap.

Still very cool they tried to do it.. but the execution was a bit lacking IMO.
