The only time I've ever walked on was when I was one of the first 10-20 guests in line. Beyond that, it's always been 30+ minutes for us.I'm always puzzled when people say TSMM is a walk-on at DCA.

We always want the side facing seats here at DL, mainly for the Diorama but honestly it just provides a better view as everything you really want to see at DL faces inward. While I appreciated the dioramas on DL's railroad, I like WDW's railroad better because it is wider. And if I remember correctly, you face sideways on the DL railroad. I prefer forward-facing seats.
Interestingly I prefer Disneyland in this regard. The fake Endor film set facade at WDW is out of place with the Star Tours 2.0 version of the ride. At Disneyland the facade fits the overall theme better. WDWs is more interesting to look at though so I can see where you are coming from.

POTC chews up WDW's version and spits it back out. The only thing WDW has over DL's is the queue.
