Through the same lineage, both men are linked to Gen. Douglas MacArthur and President Franklin D. Roosevelt; even infamous traitor Benedict Arnold and attempted presidential assassin John Hinckley Jr., have thick enough blue-blood roots to call themselves relations. The two candidates also have very distant links to Princess Diana and President George Washington.

We're all one big ol' pack of inbreds...I'm never gonna be able to kiss a girl again.

Thanks for the info, Uncle Woody!

So, what I am saying here Darrel, is that being 9th cousins twice removed means nothing. Sorry, but the Internet strikes again!:hammer: In plain fact, they are not related.

This is what I got the information from

So don`t make me out to be a liar or some kind of fool!:fork:

Darrel, the link says that they are distant relations, which is pretty much the point Woody was making. I didn't gather he was saying you were wrong, just that you were playing it up a little too much.

The lineage goes back to the 16th century...tracing back that far, you, me, and Woody could probably all find ourselves related to each other. :)

Now let's all have some S'mores and hot cocoa.

*passes around S'mores and hot cocoa*

Drift time:

Darrel, did you see the "Cosmic Wars" episode of The Simpsons last Sunday, where they make a huge parody of Episode 1? Half the movie is spent calling roll at an intergalactic council meeting, and at the end, Comic Book Guy says "Worst...Cosmic Wars...ever! I shall only see it three more times...today."

There are takeoffs of Lucas and Jar Jar Binks in it, too; I was almost crying, I was laughing so hard watching it.
