CEO steps down, jungle cruise boats sinking, impossible foods, and swat team at Beach Club tonight. It’s been a magical week

Walt's ghost must had sent a curse at Walt Disney World since Chapek was chosen as the new CEO.CEO steps down, jungle cruise boats sinking, impossible foods, and swat team at Beach Club tonight. It’s been a magical week
Now I'm curious as to what led to this big misunderstanding and bold response. Was he acting irate, causing a scene himself? Did another paranoid guest see an object on him (umbrella, gadget, etc.) and mistakenly phone-in the threat?
Not a big deal in FL. Residents with concealed permits can carry their firearms. "Bulge" in their upper garment and someone got scared. Open carry in some states and not many blink an eye. From OCSO Twitter:
“Deputies were at the Disney Beach Club Resort in reference to a suspicious person. Someone thought a man had a gun under a jacket. Deputies determined there was no threat. Guests at the resort are safe. We take all threats seriously and will always respond and investigate.”

Universal Orlando is the same, they even go to the point to say their TM parking lot isn't their property and fire an employee for having a gun in their car stolen (employees via Florida law are allowed to keep legal firearms in their cars at their job site).Walt Disney World is private property and does not permit weapons to be brought into any resort or theme park.

In the Universal TMs case, he sued and won his job backBelieve the rule is the same for WDW CMs.
Yes that's true however Disney resorts don't have metal detectors like some luxury resorts in Europe have to search for weapons.Walt Disney World is private property and does not permit weapons to be brought into any resort or theme park.
I would never confuse WDW with a luxury resort.........Yes that's true however Disney resorts don't have metal detectors like some luxury resorts in Europe have to search for weapons.
Good point, not luxury but luxury prices.I would never confuse WDW with a luxury resort.........
True. However they don’t post it anywhere which creates a gray area. Property owners are certainly able to prohibit weapons, but they’re supposed to post that in a prominent place near entrances so that guests are aware. If Disney does this I’ve never seen it.Walt Disney World is private property and does not permit weapons to be brought into any resort or theme park.
