Pocahontas Show Closing

I think I killed Pocahontas!
We took one of the ubiquitous guest surveys at the front of AK when we were there 2 weeks ago and when she asked if there was anything I wasn't interested in seeing I replied "The only thing I have no interest in is Pocahontas" When asked why i simply said the show was uninteresting and I wished they'd built Beastly Kingdomme there!
Now 2 weeks later they announce they're closing the show!? Coincidence... I think not!!!:lookaroun
I'm going back to say that I want AC spared, I want a fifth gate and a monorail expansion!:ROFLOL:

Thanks for the info! We haven't watched this show in quite some time. I guess we will add it to the 'must do' list this time around.

The show isn't the best but why are they closing it? It's really neat to see all the animals and it's the only Pocahontas attraction. It isn't that expensive to run is it? I think they are taking the whole cost cutting thing a little too far. They weren't always making this much money and were fine then. Oh well

We always enjoy going to this show. We will definately need to see it one last time on our upcoming trip. If the show closes, I hope they give Pocahontas a new show or something. It was nice to see an "attraction/show" built around her story.

That's too bad. Camp Minnie-Mickey has a grand total of one attraction now. Might as well make Festival of the Lion King seasonal and put a wall up over the entrance to CMM. There's hardly any reason to go down there.

So when do they start building Beastly Kindgom?

Maybe I'll have to plan on seeing this once before it is gone on my next trip, but from the responses I've heard here, I'm not sure I'll be missing too much if I just take an extra spin on Everest instead:lol:

Oh well. Pocahontas has some serious potential as a dark-ride in MK or AK though, so maybe the film might be utilised in some other way down the line,

I'm kind of glad about this one. Disney could just do so much better. I know its great for kids and all, but its had its run and its time for something bigger and better.
