Hey everyone,
Figured I would start a thread for a Play, Stay, Dine 2018 promotion watch - it should be coming at some point over the next few weeks!

I have our trip booked for 2/3 - 2/12, hoping for a nice discount like I got last year.

We can use this thread to share info / rumors as they come out!

Oh man really? I hung up early after being on hold for 45 minutes bc the offer went live online. Didn't know there was a different offer over the phone for Disney Visa. I'll have to call again after my meeting. We are booked Coronado and saved $600 for 8 nights there. Debating booking the Royal Room for the original cost of our vacation (so $600 more, but what we initially planned to pay). If I call and it's a better discount, then I might just do that.

well, wow, that's was a little more chaotic than I expected, hope everyone was able to get they PSD they wanted! this is our first time going to January and I was a bit underwhelmed with this discount :( so we deiced to just do French quarters with the QS dining and it worked out better for us with just the room discount than riverside, but here's my QUESTION!

I applied the magic room discount online, then called to get the visa room discount (this is listed on mouse savers as a bit more) but was told it is the exact same for the room price didn't shift at all. just wondering if anyone else had this experience? I'm sure its normal but just want to check that I'm not losing out on anything

Okay so after 2 hours on hold and then Disney disconnecting the line (If you want to leave feedback press 1! - um, no thanks :confused:) we just booked POR with PSD package through the website! So stressed but even more excited!! Thanks for all the help on here! Still will phone in the next few days to see if anything can be changed but at least for now I can start making some ADRs!

No only standard rooms were available :(. The website was being weird though, it seemed like every time I refreshed there was different availability or different prices or it would just boot me out to the main website. So I guess I'll keep an eye on things and see if prices or availability changes again.

For the money savings I was hoping for a Standard Room haha :) good for you that's awesome! And yes it does seem very dependent on the day. if i put in one day shorter I have all sorts of availability so it definitely varies.

Hey everyone! Thanks for the ongoing info over the last week or so! Called 1st thing this morning and was on the line in less than 2 minutes. However, when I checked at POR the PSD was not available for a party of 5? He also didn't go through options of where it WAS available so I just said nevermind. However, when I got on the website I realized there was a deep discount with the Disney Dining Plan & PSD at Caribbean Jan 7-13. I have done extensive research about the construction and even watched a few walk throughs on YouTube. It's our 1st trip and my daughter's 7th bday. We have plans to eat at the parks 2 meals a day so the construction shouldn't affect much. I just couldn't pass up paying hundreds less at Caribbean than a value resort AND not paying the extra $500 to upgrade our meal plan! For the 5 of us the difference from Music to Caribbean was $800 (after meal upgrade) and $1000 from POR.

My brother in law was there a few months ago - said construction was not an issue at all. Food was plentiful under the tents they had set up, main pool was still open....and he didn't spend too much time at the hotel anyways. All pools worked fine ,noise was minimal - he had a great experience.

Carrib was deeply discounted for 9 of my 10 days, the last day it is full :( otherwise I would've switched from POR to there as well.

That stinks! We also got a water/pool view rather than the parking lot view I originally booked at Music! The difference in price is paying for plane tickets and the Pirates & Pals dessert cruise. :happy:

Does anyone that had to change resorts or room type see it updated yet? Mine still says French Quarter and I’m a bit concerned. Maybe it takes a day or so to update? Just want to wrap this up and let the stress go away:). Thanks!

Mine is doing the same. It has the correct price change but wrong location. I called to confirm and everything was right through the hotline.

I was able to apply the Family Gift of Magic Package to my room at Pop. I had reserved it back in June so I don't know if that makes a difference. I was able to bring my cost down by about $110. It looks like it's still showing some availability for this offer which may be better than nothing for some folks?

This is exactly the experience I had this morning and saved just under 100 bucks (15%) off my original booking at Pop with the Gift of Magic promo...hey, I'll take it! This was for room and tickets only, fyi, no dining plan involved.
