Hey everyone,
Figured I would start a thread for a Play, Stay, Dine 2018 promotion watch - it should be coming at some point over the next few weeks!

I have our trip booked for 2/3 - 2/12, hoping for a nice discount like I got last year.

We can use this thread to share info / rumors as they come out!

They are pushing the current discount pretty hard- I originally booked at CBR way back in March but now with how full of construction it currently is, we'll be switching once the PSD gets released. When I called to ask if I should switch now or if I should just wait, the agent actually tried to get me to make my trip earlier in order to get the room-only discount that's going through the end of the year.

I bet they'll be waiting until this current deal is up- which is October 8th- before they release anything new.

So for those that stayed at POP or Animation with PSD, did you do the quick service dining plan or did you upgrade to the regular dining plan? Did you have to pay the difference?

This is our first year doing PSD, we've always gone using group discounts with homeschooling groups, but they're not really doing that anymore, so I'm hoping this is just as good of a deal.

Historically, the PS&D discount has come out also in October (Oct. 6, 2014, Oct. 3, 2013). Given how the calendar is this year, I'm not surprised the discount did not happen this week.

Also, we upgrade to the standard dining plan each time we use the PS&D discount and we DO have to pay the upgrade difference. Before last year, the standard dining plan came with moderates and deluxe but last time the discount came out with Quick Service discounts for both Value and Moderate resort packages.

To us, we upgrade because we enjoy the food experience as much as the Disney theme park experience. We are a retired couple. Our kids and grandkids chose the Quick Service plan the last time we went with them because they have very active young kids and didn't want to deal with sit down restaurants that take longer. Also, their style is more spontaneous.

Hi all! A Disney spanish internet site has posted in twitter (@viajeromagico) some details about Stay Play & Dine 2018 promo. This site owns a travel agency in Argentina. They say it will be for stays between 1/1/18 and 3/10/18. All Star Movies and POFQ excluded. 2 day ticket base minimum. And that can be booked starting 10/3. They are usually very solid when giving rumors. Anyone can confirm this?
A friend saw this on FB too - not sure of the source, but the same info almost exactly.

We LOVE the sit down restaurants and are planning to do the regular dining plan- I just wanted to prepare in the event we had to pay the difference.

Got through and confirmed, no discount for today. The Disney agent laughed because she said a rumor was online and everyone was calling for the 2018 play, stay, dine discount today, though it didn't exist yet. She said she had no confirmation it would be out this week, but it is rumored to be....

The wait continues... :)

Anyone hear any rumblings about tomorrow?

At first I was it would be last week, then I was told it wasn't gonna be till Oct 6th, or 10th, but now I'm hearing either tomorrow, or Thursday. They have been keeping a tight lid on the dates the last few years. I heard the hurricane effected it, meaning more people were booking in January, to avoid the hurricane, and also make sure they get the free dinning, but we all know how it works at Disney " Let's see how many people book before we put out the promotion, that will make it difficult for the ones who already booked to be assured to get it, we can always tell them we have no room available". " Then after we release the discount, we will make it difficult for the people booking then as well, just use the same room excuse". Lol. Any way, I guess all we can do is keep checking the official site!

Have a magical night WDWMAGIC

I just booked all star music with no dining an! Don't know if this deal would
Help or hurt me... ahhh!! Lol

Lol. Well I think the only 2 ways it could hurt is, 1, cost increase on your trip, meaning if you decide to upgrade to full service, and 2, the number of guest is going to increase consiberlity. Besides that it could def help lower the money you spend there if you just went with the free QS. Hey your going to be at The World, your bound to have a magical time regardless .... have fun!

Patiently/impatiently waiting for any announcement. Our very first trip planned for Jan 31-6 and hoping some kind of discount comes out, either dining or room. Will be stalking the websites. Do you all stalk and then inform your TA or inform your TA beforehand that you're waiting for any and every discount that might apply to your trip and hope that they get it for you?

What sources? I'm curious since I can only find info on this forum's thread. Thanks[/QUOTE

I really wish I would have payed attention better but it was on the Disney Dads with Joe Black who does a lot of Disney stuff. I just wrote down all the phone numbers and my confirmation number so if it is true the second I wake up I'll be on the phone. We usually do in Sept and play this game for the free dining. I've never done the play stay dine before
