I like it because of the atmosphere, but not my most favorite place to eat!! I wouldn't put it at the top of my just have to do list while I am at Disney World.

I love Planet Hollywood, and not just the one in WDW!!

We try to go to one where ever we are, the list is growing every year. Trouble is they are closing some of them down!

The only problem with the one at DD is the wait time. Last year we saw Bruce Willis and Shaq there.

It´s ok for me... the atmosphere is nice. I´ve been to the one in Cancun many times and I like it, but I don´t go crazy about the food there.

The only thing in the menu that drives me crazy (mouth waters) is the Ebony and Ivory brownie. Have you tried it?? Delicious!!!:p

The atmosphere is great but the food leaves something to be desired. This is true of all of the ones I've been to. I've always tried it in different cities to see if the food is any better but it never is. I have a feeling that is why so many of them are closing and the company is in bancrupcy. The locations that were in cities without a major tourist draw or huge population could not keep people coming back on atmosphere alone. A prime example is the one in Nashville. It flourishes because it is located in the main entertainment and dining district close to two pro sporting venues. All tourists and most locals go to this area. (just moved from there:( ) The one where I live now in Columbus OH is closed they put it in an upscale mall by a big theater but all the locals avoided it like the plague because the food was bad. By the way no one comes to columbus as a tourist. Sorry to ramble on. I was in the hospitality/tourism business for 12 years I guess I still like talking about it.

I was at that Planet Hollywood about a week after it opened. It was our first night in Florida, and my whole family was pretty jetlagged. We had to wait over 2 hours to get in that night and the crew was all brand new and was being taught by people from other PH's. Needless to say it was a wasted experience. The atmosphere is nice, but that experience has kind of wrecked PH's for me.

I think the only way to avoid a long wait at the one in DD is to decide to eat early. We have been a few times and decided to have lunch at about 11.30 and we have never waited. I realise that this is too early for a lot of people, but it works OK for us.

The outside looks cool but we plan not to ever go in there. We stick mostly with the Rainforest Cafe and ESPN Club based on restaurant chains. We've heard that Planet Hollywood has been in real trouble and we thought that nobody was going, so we never have gone.

Actually that particular Planet Hollywood at DD is like the busiest restaurant in the world. Even if the whole Planet Hollywood chain closed up, Disney would probably keep it open. The problem with these theme restaurants is people go there for the experience of the atmosphere, not really the food. Their next trip most do not return because they did it already, so most of these chains have to constantly reinvent themselves. I have not eaten at PH but a friend of mine said the chicken fingers were good, also they were coated in Captain Crunch. Anyone eat them?

PH has been in trouble for a while now, but you wouldn't know it by the one at DD. I would recommend anyone to try it. I agree with Jay-Rod, those ribs are just great, as are the chicken wings!!

We have never been to the one in Orlando and to go to the one in N.O. is out of the question. A burger is a burger, when we go out to eat it's strictly New Orleans cuisine.
