What does everyone think about Planet Hollywood? Do you love it or hate it? If you love it... what is your favorite thing there? I personally love it... really good steak and burgers... mmmmm!!

Well, if you decide to go, plan to put your name in early. It's been years since I've been there because every time I go there is always a 2 hour wait... Last few times I've just gone down to Bongo's and gotten in with 30 minutes or less... I think the Cuban food scares people. I recently discovered that most people from up north don't even know what a Cuban sandwich is... Many of the other people in there appear to be latin, so I think people are all just afraid to try something new. I took someone there one time and she ordered steak which she later confessed to having done because it was the only thing she really recognized... Good food, it's a shame...

IMO If you don't mind eating your meal with fifty pair of eyes looking to see if you have nearly finished so they can have your table then Planet Hollywod is a good place to go. Apart from the ribs I think PH is all hype and just about washed up I can't see why people return again and again to the place. Loads of off site restaurants blast it to another planet.

PH in DD is one of the top ten revenue generating restaurants in the world along with DD's Rainforest Cafe which is #1, DD's House of Blues, and DD's Fulton's Crab House. PH has actually incorporated the Disney one because it is the only profitable one they own at this point. It is not going anywhere anytime soon.
oh P.S. I went through it on a trip for Rest. School. It has the dirtiest kitchens I have ever seen. RF Cafe and House of Blues were much better

I agree with you. There is also a little take out window next to the entrance of Bongo´s (or at least used to be) in which they sold coffee and pastries... those guava (guayaba) pastries with cheese were delicious!!! *mouth waters* Poepl don´t know what they are missing until they have cuban food.... veyr much like caribbean food, come on! very much like the food at home... (my home...) ;)

I always wanted to eat at Bongo's but never had the chance. I must admit that I have never had Cuban food - is it hot and spicy? I love spicy foods!:)

I'll have to go there for sure next time.

Reservations

I know you can't make reservations for any restaurant in Disney except for Victoria and Alberts but they do have that priority seating thing. I don't think you can do that at Planet Hollywood

We had some chicken in some type of hot sauce that was really good...but I'll be damned if I can remember what it was called.

I love PH - great burgers (at better prices than we pay for some Fast Food ones over here!) and terrific desserts. We have very seldom had to wait very long - and there is usually 6 - 8 of us to seat. Perhaps we have just been lucky?
