I have read so many different opinoins on the subject. I s the Planet Hollywood restaurant worth it on the Disney Plan? I am not expecting Boma like food, after all it is a touristy chain, but will I be so disappointed I wish I never went? :shrug:

It's my least favorite at DTD. You can do much better. House of Blues, Raglan Road, Cookes, TREX, Paradiso 37 - are all streets ahead with food, service and atmosphere.

Planet Hollywood sucks, plain and simple. The menu is outdated, over-priced and not much more than fast food.
The interior resembles a movie museum. The place has never been updated. even the menus look and feel like they have been the since opening day.
The staff are mostly kids who don't really seem to want to be there.
The queue on the outside is ridiculous once you get inside and realise the only reason there is a queue is that they are only operating about 30% of the restaurant capacity.
Planet Hollywood is the only restaurant on WDW property where I've encountered food poisoning first hand.
Eat anywhere else at DTD, but avoid PH.

I've been there quite a few times and I agree the place is going down hill... Either that or there are just better options at DTD now!

I'm like 22 and I liked the food but then again I just graduated from college so my diet consisted of take-out and ramen noodles lol. I liked it. Loved the atmosphere. Definitely NOT a family restaurant by any means. I thought it was VERY loud like don't go there with something meaningful to talk about lol. It was also very pricey IMO so I am glad I used the DP for it. That will be the only way I'll eat there.

Planet Hollywood dtd is probably the 2nd worst meal I've ever had anywhere. The 1st is a hole in the wall Mexican place in Brooklyn. I was shocked how bad it was. I think many posters hit the nail on the head with their comments- poor service, outdated menus, loud, dirty, And low capacity because they operate so little of the place. The food there actually put a friend in the hospital. I'd chew off my own arm before ever eating at planet Hollywood again. There are so many better options. I'd say chili's and applebees etc. are miles better than ph on all fronts.
I also saw a ph "chef" in his car in the parking lot with his finger knuckle deep in his nose for a good 5 minutes. Yuck!

I will have to chime in and say when i went there (2008) on the DDP it was one of the best meals i had during the trip (chicken crunch, ribs and fries, some brownie concoction that prob should have killed me lol) also had the gorrilas in the mist drink which was very tasty :slurp:. I will say it was hectic and noisy and it took awhile to get a seat even though we had ressies (waited about 15 min extra) no big deal. I will be going back in Oct on the DDP and have made reservations there once again so we will see how it goes this time.
