They're in the final scene of the ride. There are paper cut outs on strings in the pavillion somewhere, but I can't remember where.

I’m just hoping it’s only a ride retheme and that the interior “village plaza” area won’t be remade to the Land of the Dead as well.
I’d love a Coco ride. I don’t want a Coco pavilion.
I'm glad you posted this pic. I love the whole final stretch and scenes of Gran Fiesta Tour. The interior rock work and fiesta scenes, the fiber optic fire works (although sound effects turned back on would be nice), the black light painted murals, the anamatronics... All awesome. They're in the final scene of the ride.

Not really. He was hitting the Spain rumor hard, but did so with the Gigantic caveat. For the most part, he's been in line with any of our other rumor sources and has been ahead of many of them at times. Why for... do we put credence into what he says any longer? He used to be a good, reliable source. But in the last few years he's been out over his skis.

I don't know if he ever really was. Maybe has or still does occasionally hear things, but my sense about him going back, ohhh, almost 20 years now has been that he mostly just makes mildly informed guesses based on what might logically happen and rumours floating around on forums like this. If that's your M.O., it's not hard to occasionally be ahead of the curve on things like "Frozen is going into Norway at Epcot." It's a bit like cold reading in that people pay attention to the details he does occasionally hit on and mostly ignore all the imprecisions and errors along the way.Why for... do we put credence into what he says any longer? I think a safe bet is to hold off on treating a rumor as "CONFIRMED" until multiple people have put it out there. No offense to the individuals you've listed, but they've also been wrong before as well. I do recognize though that they typically exert more discretion than Jim.Wakanda? Monstropolis?
It's not that Jim doesn't hear real stuff, but he tends to almost treat everything he hears the same - my guess is without vetting it as well as some of the people here. When I hear a rumor where he is the source, it's of interest but I don't give it the same level of validity as I do with @MansionButler84, @marni1971 and @Magic Feather (among others).
It has been a very impressive performer for Pixar worldwide, being their 5th highest-grossing film behind only Toy Story 3, Finding Dory, Finding Nemo, and Inside Out. Outside of the United States it has been even more impressive: Coco is second only to Toy Story 3!According to Lee, the director, Coco has officially passed the 800M!!!!!
Exactly! Even Lee himself admitted that the movie has overperformed the expectations. It has been a very impressive performer for Pixar worldwide, being their 5th highest-grossing film behind only Toy Story 3, Finding Dory, Finding Nemo, and Inside Out. I think it has done well on DVD, comparable as far as I can tell to Moana in the US.
Of course they've been wrong - these are rumors after all, and things change. Sometimes even confirmed l, announced by Disney projects get cancelled (I'm looking at you Main Street Theater). I just generally get the sense that when any of the individuals on this board post, that's generally where things stand at that moment in time (and they usually include all kinds of caviats in their info.). With Jim Hill I get the sense that he reports on anything he's heard, regardless of how likely or if it's even in process.I think a safe bet is to hold off on treating a rumor as "CONFIRMED" until multiple people have put it out there. Should anything happen I don’t see anything more than a modest overlay.
FYI, @MansionButler84 reported in another thread Monstropolis was definitely considered as part of the $2.8 billion earmarked for DHS.Wakanda? Monstropolis?

I know it was a serious proposal at one point but Jim Hill still treats it as if it's going to happen while everyone here has said that, at least for now, it is dead.FYI, @MansionButler84 reported in another thread Monstropolis was definitely considered as part of the $2.8 billion earmarked for DHS.
He thinks Monstropolis is still possible? Where would it even go?I know it was a serious proposal at one point but Jim Hill still treats it as if it's going to happen while everyone here has said that, at least for now, it is dead.
Who knows. I just heard him mention it fairly recently (last few months). He thinks Monstropolis is still possible? Where would it even go?

Would have been a good excuse/opportunity to completely overhaul San Angel Inn (and finally bring up the quality of the food!)... not that they need to completely overhaul the interior to revamp the menu, but it seems like that's sometimes what it takes...
But if things change does that make them "wrong"? I don't think our insiders have nearly the type of track record Jim does with information that's "out there" and ultimately not true at the moment ... I believe he believes what he's saying. I'm sure he does "hear" things but he seems a little quick to talk about things that are likely a passing convo that goes nowhere or really blue sky. But yes, he's had a few scoops over the years.
I know @RSoxNo1 is friendly with Jim and defends him from the attacks but the problem many have is that he talks about things as if it's happening and true at the moment. I think there needs to be a better way to present the information. IMO. I don't think he deliberately lies like some people seem to think though. I think he means well ...
Our insiders put out information that's current and accurate for the most part. If something is green, I believe them. If something gets scaled back I believe them. They've been right more than wrong. Sure, things change, but does that mean they gave out "bad info"? No.
