Rumor Pixar's Coco coming to the Mexico Pavilion

I'd qualify it as both actually, but above all else it's a waste.
If you took a poll of my two daughters age 8 and 10 you would get a consensus different opinion. Especially the one who got to play the beast in the show. I myself got to be a suit of armor. We all had a blast. I would much rather stand in line to do a M&G that came with a show like this than others where all they get is 30 seconds to a minute of face time. I hear all the time about how the characters used to walk around the parks everyday and you could go up to them at any time. That would be great but in today's world with increased crowds, social media/selfie addiction and (let's face it) the overall lack of politeness in our society I think Disney has almost no choice but to offer organized M&G venues.
On topic...we enjoyed Coco. I wouldn't be opposed to an overlay but time is ticking and the longer they wait the less interested I am in it.

This is something that can be done "Worldshowcase Players" style out in the courtyard area or even inside Be Our Guest. The queue, and pre-show could then be repurposed for an actual ride. I'm sure your two daughters would gladly take that tradeoff.

Time to fly to California/Paris/Tokyo!

I would love to...I likely still wouldn't go on Snow White...I don't know what it was about that ride, but I never really liked it. Out of all the Disney dark rides, it always seemed like a cut below. I liked that it was a ride, but nothing ever stood out as being Disney quality...but at least it wasn't a room with princesses.

envision that as part of the queue experience for an actual, proper batb attraction and the value for all increases greatly, however
... such should be the vision for the most popular theme park to have ever existed.

I think I missed a portion of the conversation...Are you saying the original plans were for a ride but they cheaped out and went with the current show? Of course my family would gladly take that trade off. Given the option of new ride over M&G is no brainer. My reference was more to the fact I if they are going to do M&G's I will take this style over a boring line we stand in any day.

I have no knowledge of the original plan being a ride, I'm suggesting it should have been. The Enchanted Tales with Belle "show" is something that could take place anywhere. It doesn't need an E-ticket setup to get to it.

Gotcha. I don't really look at it as an E-ticket setup show. I view it as a plussed M&G for lack of a better description and feel like if they are going to do M&G's then more of them should be like this. Now as far as WDW not having a BatB dark ride...yeah...that is severely lacking for what I feel is one of the better movies. Heck even the live version was good

I now drop out and return everyone to their regularly scheduled Coco discussion!!!

Enchanted Tales has more in common with Jedi Training Academy than a traditional Meet and Greet.

I think there is room for these type of experiences, another pseudo-example is Ollivander's in Potter or Turtle Talk with Crush.

They are a cool experience and there is nothing inherently wrong with them, of course everyone berates this one in particular because New Fantasyland in general let them down without a truly substantive E-ticket and the use of cardboard cutouts as opposed to lightsabers is obviously incomparable.

Otherwise I'm personally not opposed to more experience like this if they actually come with proper attractions. Not every meet and greet needs to treatment mind you.

Let’s not forget that no news can be good news, as with Mary Poppins, and the last news we know is that it was back into consideration. However, even though I would love this to happen, I don’t expect it to happen in time for 2021, maybe sometime latter, when Gran Fiesta Tour begins showing it’s age (anytime now), this will be done!

Yes...you might even say the River of Time flows on...yep, the old El Rio Del Tiempo keeps on flowing...
