I prefer the cave musicWhat's the consensus on the siren song replacing the cave music? I personally liked the cave music much better but I'm curious to see what everyone else though.

I prefer the original scene with no music , Just lightning claps and the Dead Men Tell No Tales voice but the siren song is better than the cave music IMO.What's the consensus on the siren song replacing the cave music? The ride does not need a story in the sense that it has now. All of the attempts to inject the ride with "Story" have just made things worse. Why? Could th the idea be altered? Couldn't the story be altered to make more sense? It doesn't make sense in its current state to begin with.
No not in the sense that it does now, but the issue with the current story is how disjointed it is. If more effort was put in, the newer characters wouldn't ruin the older scenes. The ride does not need a story in the sense that it has now. They wouldn't have ruined the scenes if they had just been added without changing the dialogue to revolve around them.No not in the sense that it does now, but the issue with the current story is how disjointed it is. If more effort was put in, the newer characters wouldn't ruin the older scenes.
I'm ok with the siren song actuallyWhat's the consensus on the siren song replacing the cave music? I personally liked the cave music much better but I'm curious to see what everyone else though.
Bad idea. What's the consensus on the siren song replacing the cave music?
Maybe, but it's closer to the original 1973 scene than the 2006 scene was. So I prefer it.Bad idea.

WDI tried to put MORE IN sometime in 2013/2014 without the original ones ever having worked consistently. It's amazing to me that 2013 WDI couldn't get a projector to work when 1969 WED built the Haunted Mansion. There was a small motor in the water that was to emulate a tail splashing the surface of the water as the mermaid dived back down. But that worked even less often than the very standard projectors. The mermaid effect was completely turned off during the 2015 refurb
I would like that to happen to but I would take Geoffrey Rush re-dubbing Paul Frees original dialogue as a compromise.Something else that needs to be restored is the ship captain in the battle scene. His dialogue, to me, was just as "important" as the auctioneer.

To be fair, I do like the siren song (which is a cover of My Jolly Sailor Bold by Gemma Ward)Bad idea.
One other thing I think I remembered ... didn't the cannons outside the entrance use to fire or at least have sound effects? I swear I remember that as a kid.Yep. You remember well.
Still do as part of the pirate experience but that closed so maybe they are silent again? One other thing I think I remembered ... didn't the cannons outside the entrance use to fire or at least have sound effects? I swear I remember that as a kid.
