Pirates Of The Carribean

So much hate.

Jack Sparrow is basically Poochie from Itchy and Scratchy.
Whenever he's not in the ride, all the other pirates are asking, "Where's Poochie?"
The ride should end with the talking skull telling you that Sparrow died on the way back to his home planet.

Jack sparrow is one of the greatest characters of all time....rum...lady's....guns....and bloody piracy! The old image of the ride from the Stone Age can suck it. I want to be transported to what I know and that's the movies. Just like my god honest opinion the the JC needs to be burned to the bloody ground...nostalgia can't sell tickets forever. Uni is proving that.

Was there last week... mermaids working perfectly but mist/projection still down. It was really odd honestly because that first little turn was just so unbelievably dark as a result. Felt "empty" without that feature working.

Last night there was no splashing from the cannons, but lots of fog.

I overheard the funniest thing from the guests behind me. "It's awesome that they made an attraction based on the movies. Look! There's the scene where the dog had the keys!"

I shook my head in disbelief.

I was there on 12/9 with Mom and aunt, and was well pleased to see mermaids and Blackbeard's fog effect working well- my aunt was happy with the new additions, but then it had been so long she didn't remember there was a big drop during the ride. The only bad part of PotC lately seems to be the long backups at disembarking, seems to happen every time.

And directly behind me on the boat, while we waited to get off, was a heated argument between a man and woman, with the woman insisting that the attraction had existed before the movies, and didn't have Sparrow back in the day. He was insisting that she was nuts. (smh)

Working or not, Blackbeard and the mermaids need to go. The fourth movie was so disappointing, and not worthy of being included in the ride. Bring back Davy Jones!

Really? I thought the 4th one was a huge step forward compared to 2 and 3... I think it even managed to do about double the box office gross compared to the first one... So I'm thinking you might be in the minority in thinking it was a flop, or that people didn't like it.

That's a bit vitriolic, but I can appreciate the basic sentiment. "Keep moving forward", as Walt himself said. Honestly, though? If anything gets changed or replaced in Adventureland, I hope it's the Swiss Family Treehouse. Currently, it combines all the fun of climbing stairs with all the excitement and appeal of a fifty-year old family movie that's slightly above average at best.

We wants the redhead. Should I be uncomfortable when cast members tell me a couple times each trip to return my wife (who is red headed) back to pirates of the caribbean? Lol
I went with a friend a few years back and had long curly red hair and they gave us our own boat on POC because she was a "star"

It sounds like either they put too many people in a boat or they put too many "large" people in the boat.

Oh come on, who doesn't like climbing 4 flights of stairs after a long day of standing in line for hours. And I'm not sure JC needs to be burned to the ground as the other post said, but it could certainly use a lot of updating... something to make it a bit more relevant... maybe turn it into and Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull ride and dump the big boat in favor of those amphibious ducks... who knows if they can put in a water fall that gets you wet it might make Crystal Skull a worthy movie after all.
