Picture at Chef Mickey's

We usually skip the picture b/c hate being herded over to have a picture taken first thing in the morning when I don't want a picture taken anyway. But is this photo included with the meal like some of the others? Am considering rethinking this one if it is. Thanks.

I believe the photo costs extra.

The last time we went, 12/08, it was included in our meal package - we used the dining plan at that time.

The photo at Chef Mickey's this past May was $32. We didn't purchase it. I thought that was a bit pricey.
I forgot to mention we had the dining plan and the photo wasn't included.

We, too, are on DDP as always. I just wanted to make sure that if it was included, I got it. I just really hate the way they do the picture - you check in, CMs push you over for a picture, act like you're nuts if you don't want one.

I hate to say it, but the photo at CM's is a waste. Last time we were there, they forgot to take it, until a CM came up to us while we were eating and instructed us to go get the pic, when we came back we saw we had missed Mickey and was told we'd have to wait for him to complete the circuit (about an hour). That wasn't going to happen so I convinced Mickey's handler to come over to our table. Thankfully he did so my kids would be able to see him. When they came with our photo package for $30 or so, we respectfully declined.

I might have been wrong in assuming it was included but I do not remember paying for it and I have the photos. Sorry for any misinformation

In the past several yrs ago I believe the packages were include, but they were different also. It was a Fridge Mag, Key Chain & the 8x10 folder frame. I know 2 yrs ago it was 2 8X10 & I think 2 5x7, and it cost us 36.00 for 1 pkage. My teen daughter & her Boy friend had a seperate pic taken of just them and then she did nto have enough money on them so I paid for their package too.

I think the DDP is offering less incentives with the plan. I know in past yrs the gratuity was included w the plan, now it is not.

I was there for dinner in mid-May and the picture was not included-it cost extra.

I didn't want the picture, so didn't have it taken. It was just of a Chef Mickey statue and not the real character. The characters were all inside the restaurant itself.

We go to Chef Mickey's every year for breakfast and we were always on the dining plan and the photo package was never included ~ it was extra.

We are not going to have it make this next time and I sure hope that they don't make a big fuss about it. I had rather not do it if I know that I will not be buying them. It seems like it would save them time and money.

We've always declined having the photo taken, because we have no intention of buying it. It's never been a big deal. :shrug:

The photo is extra. It's the one time I ever remember feeling truly ripped off at WDW. I won't even pose for those pics any more.
