PHOTOS - Step inside new Fantasyland's Enchanted Forest

They are now testing animal sounds and other sounds you would hear in a forest. It sounds so realistic!

If this is true I would pray they keep this maintained. I would hate to lose this audio much like the canon fire at PotC. It seems very trivial & simple but this is the type of immersive theming I expect ParkOps to keep going! WDI has done it again. Now it's just up to Disney to keep it feeling that way.

Now that you mention this I hope they put some ocean sound affects outside Eric's castle possibly seagull sounds or crashing waves?

I couldn't agree more!

I was referring to the Walls that separates the expansion from the rest of Fantasyland. Yes, I think they look fake. The walls for the Beast's castle look far more realistic to me.
I have to respectfully disagree... the walls quite impressed me. To be very honest when I saw them in the artwork and when they started building them both DH and I felt like they were a bad decision and would be out of place. Once the plywood walls around them came down and they were revealed though I fell in love. For me, instead of being out of place, it feels like they should've been there all along to add the continuity between Cindy's Castle and her "back yard." :D

I agree, if the walls were to look more real, they wouldn't tie in properly with the castle.

It's funny. I didn't think someone could be wrong in their opinion, but you are. How did you do that?

Now that he is extending it to the castle, I can understand his opinion. It's not one I share, and I doubt there are a lot of people who do, but it's a valid opinion.

Agreed. All opinions are valid else they wouldn't be opinions. :D I get his point but I just disagree as I love the walls (a surprise even to myself).

I'm with you lazy boy. I thought they looked very "plastic." But I'm fine with it in the context that it fits well with the castle. So it's not that big a deal to me. They just look like fake rock.

No, not all opinions are valid nor are they equal. It's why you don't seek the opinion of your lawyer when you're feeling ill. I am confident in my stance, but I will not hide behind the false notion of equal opinions.

I do not think it is fine because Cinderella Castle does not need to look as plastic as it does. A lot of it could be remedied with slightly different choice of paints and pallets. The US versions of Sleeping Beauty Castle and Cinderella Castle both look much less real then their Asian counterparts.

I've never actually looked at pics of the Asian ones. They do look great now that I've looked. I guess at this point I'm a bit resigned to the fact that it's just going to look that way whether I like it or not, as unfortunate as that is. Can you imagine the hissy fit that would occur if Disney actually did decide to change up the look of the castle?

I disagree. An opinion is a statement not of fact, but of personal thought. There is no way to justify validity except in the eye of the beholder. Considering I was essentially sticking up for you I'm not sure I see the argument.

The castle from Tokyo had originally the same colors as the MK one. They changed the color scheme later on.

So I guess anything's possible

Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland looked like the one in Hong Kong for the vast majority of its existence. I also don't think the palette of Cinderella Castle need be radically altered as it is in Tokyo (another fairly recent change). There have also been smaller changes to Florida's palette over the years. Just choices that would make the structure look more like [new] stones.
