Sword is probably taking longer to refurb. Plus they want to remove the box quickly. So instead of leaving it in a box they opened it up, next I would guess would be to return the sword overnight whenever it is ready.

It was there when I went in April. I'm going back in February. If this is still there when I go back, it will be completely ridiculous.

you can still ride it. None of the operational aspect is being dealt with, just the appearance.

How old is the carousel itself? Starting to wonder if they are using the scrim to just protect it from the elements.

The carousel itself is slightly over 100 years old. The canopy structure that they are working on is not. It was built specifically for the park.

Some of the latest aerials that are available show that much of the paint on the roof has been removed.
