Even though it barely moved, I'm gonna miss the controllable animatronic, though I guess it represents attractions like Pirates where 90% of the animatronics barely function. Also gonna miss the Horizons computer unit. I don't like how they put up a wall of pictures over that area.

I do like the little Epcot tribute, and glad the robot now has a permanent home. I do like the Lincoln and Small World stuff too. Otherwise, most of it's the same besides some new costumes and the Epcot tribute. I hope that legacy continues thing will open up a cool new exhibit.

I wonder if they would miss the Tree of Life model? That would look really good in my living room.:lookaroun:lol:

Hey, Richard...if I were to help you with that, could we draft some type of 'shared custody' document? I'd get it every other week, plus every other major holiday........:)

Seriously, I would love to have that ToL model as a centerpiece in my front room...

Looks like an excellent update - everything looks great. Hopefully that "Legacy Continues" signage means more goodies are in store, you can never get enough WDW artifacts...

it does look like they have some more to install in the future, since those walls are pretty empty except for the posters on them, and say there is something new coming soon. If only they could get rid of the narnia exhibit nxt door and repalce it with more of a blue sky cellar... whic would connect into this area too.

I am thinking that is a model of the Paradise Pier section of Disney's California Adventure.

Thanks! I've never been to DCA so I had no clue....I love the way it looks, like Coney Island when it was in its heyday...

I wish I could go check out California...I'd enjoy seeing DL, even if it's not as good as WDW.:D

IMO Disneyland is better than WDW...and I go to WDW 2-3 times every month. If I were you, I would definitely make a plan to get out there and hold your reservations on it until you get to experience it! We had to forgo our annual Disney World Christmas trip in 2008 so we could do Disneyland in Dec of 2009, but it was definitely worth it!

Looks great!

What is the coming fall 2010?? on the wall...

I know, I keep coming back to that Coming Fall 2010 piece. On one hand, it feels like Winter is pretty much upon us, but the official first day of Winter is Dec 21, so I guess they have over a month until that sign is incorrect.
I'm just really hoping it's models of FLE version 2.0 and that it's open for our Nov 28-Dec 5th trip! A man can dream can't he?

Anyone know what this model is of?

http://www.wdwmagic.com/Attractions...m-reopens-following-3-month-refurbishment.htm

If the link didn't work, it's the picture under the two castle models....the one with the Ferris wheel and the white wooden roller coaster. What is that?

It looked like Coney Island, but I was unsure.

That would be Paradise Pier, one of the themed lands of Disney California Adventure at Disneyland Resort.

In real life:

EDIT: I didn't notice the third page and thought that the question about the model was the last post. I realize now that this post is quite redundant, but at least it features a really beautiful picture of Paradise Pier. *shrug*

Don't let DL fans hear that.

haha. isn't that the truth. The funny thing is that we were actually very pleasantly surprised and thorough enjoyed DCA last December. I had figured we would maybe spend a day and half there of our entire 6 days out there...mind you this was before WoC opened up. We ended up going there multiple times every day of our trip! We absolutely loved that park just the way it was!

I can't wait till Carsland opens up and we get to experience the new stuff the park has to offer!

Hmm, well, the animatronic man worked okay for me last time I saw it, but the Tiki Bird AA barely worked at all. At any rate, I don't suppose they'll be missed.

I agree that the refurb looks great, but I hope for more in the future. And I wish the outside of the building got a little more love. It should get a new facade that makes it look like a lavish movie palace. Walt deserves nothing less.
