It's on that small stone beach, right? It looks like the wall covers it, but you might be right.

No, there's no wall launch on the stone beach. Closest launches are A)located between the Mexico bridge and Torch 1 and B) between Torches 2 and 3 in front of the Norway restroom walkway.

There is a sea wall launch very close to Cantina, it's just behind the ring carver kiosk that is attached to the side of the Cantina.I'm not sure if there will be any impact or not.

The only impact so far is Torch #2. It will be turned off for the duration of construction.

I heard the new Cantina will be a 400 seat table service restaurant and a counter service also. The new menu will be different and very diverse.

Hmmm... That "dual service location" was part of the initial rumor last year when this demolition was first talked about, but this is the first time I've heard any kind of recent "confirmation" since construction has started.

The original rumors said a two-story structure with both Counter and Table service, similar to Yak & Yeti's setup. After this new Table Service location opens, the indoor San Angel Inn would get a refurb and become a Signature dining location.

Ahhhhh...:D I thought so.

Well, We shall see. I wonder if they'll kill off this Sea Wall Launch location or just all of them while opting for the lagoon level bursts.

Though these are closer to you, and pack a big surprise (LOVE being in front on one.) the Lagoon Level Launches are quite pretty.

Interesting on both accounts! Looking forward to seeing how it looks.

I'd love to see how they're going to redesign that restaurant to not only hold that many people, but to also deliver on their promise to reduce congestion on that side of the WS. I guess this means I'll have to make a trip back in the fall, most the pity....

This sounds like the rumoured direction many of the new restaurants will be going. Cantina, Italian pavilion pizza place, Gaston's. Where they have a TS and QS at the same location. Works pretty well at the Y&Y, see how it translates to other locations.

Poor you!

Shame it won't be open by our summer trips, I'd like to try this place. Maybe we'll have better luck with Italy?

Well, I'm there the first part of June, so I'm not sure Florida heat and pizza really go hand-in-hand, if you know what I mean. I'll just be interested to see the new place in Italy (if it's completed), along with the progress being made on the Cantina. But I figure if I just HAVE to force the family back the first part of December everything should be open. :)

As I recall there is a 1st order laser target on the roof of the Cantina for ILLUM. I wonder if they rewrote the landings for MX or if they will just let it go. Seems like they would have to delete that one mirror location if for no other reason than to not overshoot into the water while the building is gone.

That is of course if my memory serves me correctly and there is a mirror there in the first place.

Martin would be the best person to ask for that, but I know of a laser coming out of the main pyramid, for sure. Saw them test it while we were waiting for the show to start.

My kids would have no argument with that logic. But for me, in that heat, a salad and a mint tea from Morocco always seems to be the best thing. But I'm sure we'll hit the new place if it's open....:)

Yep. The Mexico laser has one angle where it shoots onto the Cantina roof and bounces back off, towards but well above Canada. It is best seen at the end of Chaos when it repeats rapidly.

I`d be interested to see what happens now too.
