That's it!!!!!! I got it!!! Leave the security set up at the entrance for "reverse screening". If you are leaving the MK and going to MCO, you board your DME bus and that bus is now secure. Then, when you get to MCO, you can bypass TSA. All this for an upcharge.

LOL do not give them any ideas. I bet pre screening at the resorts prior to DME is already on the table

Lets make this safe for everyone and everywhere. Why don't they just build a wall. A great HUGE wall all around the entire Disney property. Only LEGAL ticketed guests would be allowed in. Also, lets pave the whole thing. I mean every single acre and fill in all the waterways. That will keep the alligators away too.

The Universal system surprised even me for its efficiency at peak times. The shear amount of open lanes, each with a dedicated bag scan and arch was great to see. And made standing lines non existent.

Personally I'm just looking forward to getting a photo of the MK tiled mural outside the park with no one stood on it again.
Universal's Security is outsourced. Their entry gates themselves are a total trainwreck and they run that themselves. As of today, it looks like Disney is superior in both respects.

I'm very glad there will not be resort guest and non resort guest going through one security gate. Should be a lot faster. Not a fan of the security check before boarding the monorail.

You forgot to mention that Universal would pay for it.....

But that doesn't follow the rhetoric that Universal is better at everything ...

You're really not making your case here. For example, who cares if it's outsourced. That just means they acknowledge they're not the experts and hired an entity that was. Their entry gates are a train wreck? Do tell, as they're managed the exact same way Disney's are. The only difference is one has a bar code reader and the other has an RFID reader.

As someone who has gone through Universal security, I've noticed similar issues. They're not any better than Disney as far as I am concerned. Not sure why Universal has to be constantly defended? There are always going to be hiccups and faults. They aren't perfect either :/ When did you last go through Universal security?

Yesterday, and Sunday. Tomorrow and Thursday I'll go through Disney security.

They were vastly improved last fall.

I'm glad to hear that. I was there in January and posted my experience so I guess it was a fluke the day I was there, and I know being 9am that it was probably going to be so I'm not really complaining, it is what it is. It seemed like a mess to me. But I also was wanded through fairly fast. It was just sort of chaos at the time as there were no clear lines and the guests weren't exactly helping the matter, so the fault more lies with the guests in this case but it really turned me off at the time I have to say. I've had zero trouble with Disney security so I guess we all have different experiences.

Universal's security being outsourced is likely why their security was better. They were using a true security company to do it.

To their entry gates, their finger scanners are atrocious. They are slower and far less reliable than anything Disney has used in the history of Walt Disney World. Hence... trainwreck.
