on a side note. I think it is stupid they wait till 12/9 to put the tree up... just put it on the side lawn like they used to... Does anyone have a pic of it there? I can't find mine

I agree that the tree near the Hub was very picturesque (I have a very pretty pic of the castle and the tree with the tree reflecting in the Hub waterway).

But if I'm not mistaken, that spot is now the Wishes FP+ viewing location.

Its a nice start, wouldnt mind seeing some garland or something along those barren concrete castle walls leading into new fantasyland

Yeah, this is a good first step. Now all that's left is to fully decorate Frontierland, Liberty Square, and Adventureland.

They could even clone some of the same decorations they use at Disneyland in Frontierland, Toontown, Critter Country, Adventureland and New Orleans Square. Or on Buena Vista Street, in Paradise Pier, and A Bug's Land.

But where to put the hubcap Christmas tree and the air filter garlands from Cars Land? Maybe out at the Hess service station near the MK parking lot?

Don't you guys get a bit uneasy with these sudden changes? the October ends then .. BANG!!!. .ITS CHRISTMAS EVERYWHERE!

At least two local Publix plazas and Crossroads had their outdoor Christmas decorations up by November 2. It's unnerving, but it's hardly unique to WDW.

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
So Canadians put their Christmas decorations up for 3 months of the year?
Nope.
Thanksgiving is always the second Monday of October, so anywhere between the 8th and the 14th. Our Thanksgiving isn't linked to Christmas, as it is for the U.S.
Christmas season starts after Hallowe'en. There is a move afoot to encourage Canadians to hold off putting up decorations until after the 11th of November, Remembrance Day.
Generally though, most people don't put up lights and trees until the beginning of December. An early major snowfall however, will often accelerate this date for some.
