Really. REALLY? Everyone being worked up about the queue line for a (Most likely going to offend possibly every classic-Disney park fan on this side) kiddie ride? Oh my God this is far from what I was expecting guys! They put a lot of theming for a little carnival ride and of course WDWMagic users are the first to complain. I'd be happy with what you've got. I could see all of you complaining "They should've done something with the queue line" if they didn't do ANYthing. I for one am very pleased with what they made and looks a LOT better than I expected. Well done Disney! :sohappy:

btw putting that little WOF thing at the end of each post is pretentious and makes no sense because Wonders of Life was not an original Epcot Pavilion it opened 7 years after the park opened.

You're one happy troll. :)

Old Dumbo:
Hot, outdoor queue, 90+ minute wait often.

New Dumbo:
Air conditioned, indoor "free space" that includes benches AND a playground, with a wait that will be reduced by at least half.

Old Dumbo:
Geared toward young children, but yet sized so that parents can also ride with their children.

New Dumbo:
EXACTLY THE SAME, only twice the capacity

I guess I really am starting to see how awful this is, and how it has ruined the park, and broken up families, and provided a much-unnecessary climate controlled environment in which to wait for a ride.

Epic failure Disney. Epic. Awful move, beyond comprehension. It's absurd that you would listen to the wants of the target demographic of this ride and build something that many of them are applauding. Stupid Disney! :fork:

All the positives you pointed out are true, but it could have been so much more. We are expecting more because we were led to believe that there would be more. The more that is publicized before the finished product is presented, many times catalyzes disappointment.

This ^^^ should be the last post in this thread and where is MOM to keep these children in line...so much negativity you can't help but wonder why our society is so polarizing lately...

I have never been on Dumbo before afer Hundreds of trips due to the long line and the heat but I think for once I might try it now that I can sit down in AC and have a shorter wait!

I have been frequenting this site since 2005, and I have to say I am a little embarrassed for most folks who post here.

Either you have ridiculous expectations or you just like to complain (my personal vote). This is a ride's queue. In this time of a terrible global economy, I am extremely impressed with the level of effort and spending that Disney has been exhibiting on a global scale. Did I mention that this is a RIDE'S QUEUE!

I have been going to WDW since 1981 (20+ trips). Although I have seen a few things over the years that are disappointing, my experiences consistently exceed expectations. Have any of you actually been to the parks over the last 3 decades? Do you have a baseline to compare too? Or is it just easier to complain from your PC? Honestly, I would prefer that you all stop going to WDW. It will help with the crowds during my trips.

Glad I'm not the only one here that thinks this. I just word my posts wrong. :brick:

I understand how people thought that there would be more to this. Honestly I really thought it was going to be more then this also, but does this really in any way dimish what actually was created?

Looking at it objectivly, what was built is totally appropriate for the purpose for which it was designed. If they had made this some sort of spectacular high-tech interactive experience, or even some type of show, I bet people would be complaining that it should have been a seperate attraction and not a queue.

Great point. Also, I'm sure there is a science involved in designing an interactive queue to make it interesting enough to entertain, but not so much so, that it discourages riders to move onto the actual attraction.

Of course I am right. WDW is once again alienating a portion of their target audience. Walt created WDW for everyone, not just tiny children. Such a disaster...
I like to take newborns on the Matterhorn.

You know, since Walt designed it for everyone...
