Mom: So, Bob, where do you want to stay next year when we go to WDW?
Dad: Well, I was thinking Grand Floridian.
Mom: Isn't that a monorail resort?
Dad: Yes.
Mom: And aren't the monorails now shutting down one hour after the park closes, including EMH?
Dad: Why yes, yes they do. But, I swear, it is for maintenance.
Mom: The monorails aren't breaking down anymore?
Dad: Well, sure they do. But I swear, some people on a WDW fan board swear they are being fixed.
Mom: Ok, and didn't WDW recently cut EMH back from 3 hours to 2 hours?
Dad: Why, yes. But, great business decision. The social media, podcasters, and fans on WDW fan sites say so.
Mom: And wasn't Splash Mountain taken offline for EMH now and replaced by a show we can walk onto any time during the day?
Dad: Yes, but again, awesome business decision. Gotta give guests less entertainment for more money out of our pockets. Again, people on a WDW fan site says this is a great decision.
Mom: So, what you are telling me is, you want us to shell out $500 or more a night for the Grand Floridian, a monorail resort where we may or may not be able to use the monorail to get back to the resort at night after a shortened EMH where we cannot even ride one of the most popular attractions in the park? Why would I say yes to that when we can spend half the money and stay in a moderate. Or better yet, off site since the perks of staying onsite really are not worth it anymore?
Dad: Why? Because they now have a Alice in Wonderland themed water play area at the pool for Little Jimmy to run around in.
Mom: And that justifies $500 or more a night why?
Dad: WDW lovers say this is awesome. I think I even heard it on a podcast or two or three. I mean, if they say this is awesome, it has to be, right???
Mom: I'm calling Arkham Asylum. You need to be committed.
