While it does sound cool...I'd like a little more "adventure."

Why not have a zipline that goes over a river too?
How about a rockwall?

The zip line was looked at, but did not make it into the final attraction.

The idea is interesting but it's not really an "adventure." It's just a walking tour of the AK savannah...which isn't exactly a wild animal kingdom.

It's a neat idea and they use great adjectives to describe it, but the whole time I was reading their press release I just kept thinking, "But you're still just inside Animal Kingdom." More of a cool tour than an "adventure" in my mind.

And when you're on the safari you're still in Animal Kingdom. And when you're on Splash Mountain you're still in Magic Kingdom.

The point is to give people the ability to take a walking safari who may not be able to afford a trip to Africa.

I said this in a prior post when this special tour was first talked about. I would pay DOUBLE just to watch a zipline in action. Face it, the average American can't even bend over to tie their shoes because of obesity. Just based on that, there was just NO WAY their could be a zipline without at least 50% daily faceplants.

Along those same lines....what happens when someone falls through the rope bridge?

Sure they have a lifeline, but what happens then?

Who is going to pull them back up? Will they just dangle there until RCID Fire Department can come rescue them?

Dangling alligator bait! :slurp:

The "Rope Bridge" is actually a steel cable bridge with netting all around it.

Although there is a lifeline attached to each trekker as they cross, I can't envision what you'd have to do to require it short of climbing over the top cable to leave the bridge entirely.

Disney certainly wouldn't have anything that put a trekker even remotely "at risk".

EDIT: Tried to include this image, but it wouldn't show:
