Funnily enough, they were built complete. The facades were removed in 2005 when LMA opened. Though I don't know why. They have always been like that, to show how the facades are built.

Interesting, I didn't realize. Have you got a pic of the original look?Funnily enough, they were built complete. The facades were removed in 2005 when LMA opened. Though I don't know why.
I've only this to hand at the momentInteresting, I didn't realize. Have you got a pic of the original look?
Like a good Golden Retriever, it stays.So...Star Tours...is it being transplanted in with the new area...or is it staying where it is?
That kinda sucks.Like a good Golden Retriever, it stays.
Do we think that the Star Tours entrance will be from outside the land and sort of serve as a portal into the land after you exit the ride?Like a good Golden Retriever, it stays.
Looking at actual satellite images instead of the park map, it's not that hard to imagine Star Tours being at the entrance to the land, a walkway with shops/dining continuing back into the Streets of America area (with the current NYC skyline blown out to become walkway) and the two new rides located in southern SoA/Premiere (Millennium Force ride) and over LMA (the E-Ticket). Muppet Courtyard could stay if you created a convincing tunnel starting at Tatooine Traders. Transitions into and out of SWL will be very interesting to see. I hope they can pull it off (more Adventureland into Frontierland than Fantasyland into Tomorrowland). I don't want to hear Kermit singing about rainbows while I can also hear the Imperial March.Do we think that the Star Tours entrance will be from outside the land and sort of serve as a portal into the land after you exit the ride?
Great movie!That kinda sucks.
For the mean time and closure later...or...
Forever?
sure, if you forget about all the showbuildings
I think the park can fit in the parking lot about three times over.
Actually that DOES include the show buildings. Even that huge bathroom next to RnRC.sure, if you forget about all the showbuildings
and yet the map in question is not to scaleActually that DOES include the show buildings. Even that huge bathroom next to RnRC.
Isn't MK's lot bigger than MK?and yet the map in question is not to scale

same scale, came off the same view in google earth
So you know where to go when you're finished with all the rides at 10:30 am.Why would they make the park map show a gigantic parking lot and a little tiny theme park? Why even show the parking lot to begin with?
That's not a park map. I assume it's a screen grab from the online interactive map? That map is property-wide and the various elements are not always to scale. Why would they make the park map show a gigantic parking lot and a little tiny theme park? Why even show the parking lot to begin with?
