Don't want to open a can of worms here, but... any news on whether the AC is next on that list? :lookaroun

Well. . .and I've already been attacked today for speaking of things I've heard from friends (but that's never stopped me before). However another of my friend's father worked at DTD during the Festival of the Masters. He spoke with some of the construction people that were preparing the Motion, RNRBC area for demolition, about the "PI Construction Permits" that were supposedly filed on Oct. 18th. They said that they had no idea where these papers came from, because they have not heard anything about the Adventurers Club or Soundstage being demolished at any point. So, as always, who the heck knows!

Aww man, I liked motion when I went and was still in college. So how long before disney redevelops this property again?

Uhhh, guys! Wrong building. The Adventure's Club is down a bit further.

I really hope they plan to tear down that building. The amount of entertainment it will bring will be amazing!

Oh lord help Disney if pictures like that show up of the AC! People will go completely insane.

Insane?
Yes, I will be.
Insane with anger, loathing and resentment. Once again I call for any and all involved with the closure of the Club to be fired and left jobless, homeless and hungry, reduced to begging for food on 192. That is the only proper justice for those incompetent, worthless, useless and unmagical morons.

Oooohhh....it really burns me up...:fork:

Oh by all means, tear down the Adventurer's Club. I have no idea where that is located, but thankfully the Adventurers Club still stand at 5189 Hill St., and is likely to do so until it reopens! Kungaloosh!

well eisner did lose his job, thought that really doesn't count for much.

It would be cool if they had built a new AC in adventureland, possibility in the temple in the middle of the jungle cruise.

I'm not one for Armchair Imagineers and their ideas (though some make sense)... But hypocritically I'll post: I would love to see a revamped version of AC at the Boardwalk if not possible at DTD... It could be done with a New England/North East (same thing) theme in the lobby. Like early-mid 1900s Northeast Millionaires club touting their journeys and trophies in the pre-show rooms and bars.

The spirit of AC was also its architecture, I don't see any places in Cape May having a huge amount of artifacts and animal carcass fitting in.

It could fit in at either the villas at WL or AKL.

I like change and updating things, but I must admit that everytime I see something being removed from Pleasure Island, I die a little inside...and I'm only 25!

Don't sugar-coat it there, Lee...tell us how you really feel!

If only karma worked that fast...

ditto, PL was first marketed to our parents, and our generation should have had the pleasure to get away from the kids for a couple of hours while at wdw. A whole bunch of more family friendly shops and restaurants will not fill that need. I also don't buy the line that families were looking for more family friendly restaurants on disney property, I know the reason is that disney wants some more chains at dtd to eek out more money.

PI was a blast back in the day! the nightly new years eve party was awesome. The comedy club and AC were great. Now there is no where to go, and appears never will be. Whats wrong with some adult entertainment that just isnt a bar and dance club? Bring back some entertainment.:brick:

But why cant you have a couple places for adults, i say a couple, and still have a family atmosphere within the rest of the place. Not nightclubs like PI. And why not have new years every night? without the drinking on the streets of course. Do they still allow drinking on the streets?

I think Disney is making a mistake by losing the adults without kids. This was valid market for Disney until Isner came along. Maybe its just me as I see myself being phased out by Disney. I'm starting to feel I don't belong there unless I have a kid with me.

Hey PI was fine, it filled a need. The wharf will just be more chain restaurants that are FF.

Like I asked earlier, when will the wharf be redeveloped. I give it a decade before the numbers drop and tdo realizes their mistake.
