I guess I am alone in my opinion of PI. I have been numerous times since I turned 18. Maybe it was the time of year, but the dance clubs were all but empty. The "party in the street" was lonely confetti on the ground. It has always felt like a ghost town to me. I am glad they will fill it with something even if it is just more shopping.

Out of curiosity, were the turnstiles still there when you turned 18?

I disagree entirely. That's the corporate line that Disney told ppl to spout. People are still out in clubs, citywalk is packed on the weekends, HOB is packed on Sundays, and that's in the off season. visit savepleasureisland.blogspot.com and you'll see many examples of people who went out and didn't want to stay in.

Well, I am not sure what else to say except - It is what it is. I think the most any fans can hope for is to do what so many are doing and petition for the return of one or two things that were absolutely incredible about PI, and that management will find a way to incorporate them into the new HW and concept. There is no hope of a return of a club-style nightlife on property. At this point, that would require a 2nd Downtown Disney to be built, and that just does not seem like a viable option.

I agree, that is all we can do. They could create nightlife or some blend of nightlife and shopping if they wanted to, but the best chance is for it to be in HW and that doesn't look likely. I will not patronize any of the replacements, especially whatever goes into MDP/8-trax
