Thanks for adding a bit of "pleasure" to our day.![]()
not sure this gives me "pleasure". more bittersweet.
what building was this that they are tearing down?
what building was this that they are tearing down?
oh yeah, must have over looked the last sentence.
so let me get this right, no more pleasure island? are night or dance clubs part of the new wharf?
Me too, I never got to go to Pleasure Island really because I was never old enough... oh well =/That actually makes me sad![]()
It tells you in the article I typed with the photos![]()
For someone who visited most versions of PI, those are almost as painful as Horizons.
but A) I don't know what's coming and B) unless it includes a multi million dollar light show INSIDE a CLUB, I'm not interested! More outsourced crap!Okay, I never got to visit PI either, because of my age. A year before I turned eighteen, they changed the age to twenty-one, and then two years before I turn twenty-one, they shut it down. Bad luck on my part I guess. Anyway, I have an idea, a way to ease the pain for all of us.
... and I'm completely serious 'bout this.
I sometimes imagine myself going back in time, to the grand opening of Magic Kingdom or Epcot, and think of how weird it would be to look at the bare, freshly made park, knowing what was to come. Reverse that. Imagine yourself from the future, that you've grown up seeing Hyperion Wharf, made memories there all of your life, and the demolition photos almost makes you smile, because you know what's coming.
Try that on for size.

I agree. (But don't feed the trolls.)
